My understanding was Ambient lighting was standard in 08, in the same way way side are bags are also standard.

Is this mistaken?

Nice ride!
Too bad Jersey requires you to put a plate on the front. How you gonna deal with that??

My order actually came with front plate holder. I didn't order it, but its on my sticker...Oregon also has front/rear plate laws.

It doesnt look as good, but its a reason to be pulled over, which can lead to more...

Wow, I did about the same thing. I wonder if I'll get some free HID's?

It would make up for having to wait an extra couple of days for my car. I was hoping to get it Friday!

Congrats on your car by the way, it looks great!

OK...here is the deal with my HIDs. I added this to the order after 5 weeks in. The Dealer told me it was accepted and to expect HIDs installed. The PDF format sticker I got off of blueoval showed HID, but the final sticker on the car's window didnt show them...and I was not charged for them.

I know nothing about these lights and I have no idea if I have them on this car or not...lol, sorry but I have to be honest.

OK...so how can I tell if I have HIDs on this car? If I do...I got them for free!

S**t...I didnt realize there was no where to mount a front plate. NJ cops will pull me over for sure. Where can I get a front plate bracket from?

Also...

I noticed a nic/scratch on the back of the driver seat...I am calling my dealer tomorrow. Do you think they will replace the seat?

These pictures make the wait worthwhile. That car is beautiful. I'm going nuts over here but thats ok. Dealer told me sometime in the next 2 weeks I should be getting my 2008 performance white with dove interior. I still don't have a date from blue oval after the blend date but they are shipping it on a convoy and that usually means fast... I keep checking for date updates.
we will see.
Mods ready to go:
Hurst Short Throw Shifter
Engine cover- I didn't like the hood scoop so I will have my app package stuff without doing that.

My to do list is organizing my music into 6 mp3 cd's with 1.0 version id tags. Do the 2008's still only support version 1.0 tags?
Also will likely take my IX 402 kicker amp and change the rear speakers for boston acoustics and add another amp with a 12 inch sub hideaway shaker 1000 style on the side of the trunk. I will likely do these in the next month or so depending on how good the stock system sounds.
It's going to be big deal for me. I've never owned a car with automatic windows or doorlocks. I still drive a F150 without these comforts... so this is a massive upgrade for me.

Call the dealer. Its a no charge add-on. If its a state law, then the dealer has to provide it to you. Technically your driving a brand new car off the lot illegally. (legal term is "Failure to display plates")

The better news is that its the lowest violation given, but still a fine. (about a $100 dollar fine)

Daniel;
It's still a sweet ride. V/B rocks!
I used to live in Jersey, but moved cause I just couldn't bear to put a plate on the front of my 07' V/B....

Just kidding. But I am glad a front plate is not required in NC. You Jersey Stang guys should petition the DMV...

I am looking into obtaining a "drill-less" plate bracket off of some ebay sellers. There are none out there now, but I emailed the sellers...no reponces yet. I refuse to drill holes. I will drive without the front plate if I have to and risk the tickets.

Dac, gorgeous car dude... I'm being told my VB GT/CS will be at the leadership tomorrow! Not holding my breath though... Hey, there is a license plate that I believe you can mount under the front bumper that swings up and down for "show and go" purposes. I believe there is a website which has I thing someone posted in these threads where you can obtain the plate holder. Best of luck with your new Pony...
