Fabulous Ford's Car Show 2011

I am checking to see if anyone is planning on going to the 2011 Knott's show on 4/10/2011. If so I would like to try to have a gathering of the GT/CS owners and maybe a dinner somewhere. I am trying to have the people doing the parking save a few spaces for the GT/CS owners so we can all park together.

Sounds good to me. I just sent my registration in. Is Tom Raber doing parking again this year?

I have been talking to the guy who will be doing the parking if they can park us all together. But it would be easier if we drove in together then we would be able to park as a group.

Could the GTCS cars meet somewhere close by in the morning before the show and all drive over and get inline together. Would that work?

That would work for me. My Hotel is close to the car show and there is a big parking lot at the Sear's that is at the entrance of the show. So that would be a great place to meet and lineup and get in line.

This is only about a four-hour drive for me. I'm going to do everything I can to make it!

The earlier we meet the better. In my 12 years of attending this event, one thing is for sure- the entrance tends to bottleneck the later you get in line. Cars that get there earlier get in much faster.

I am going to have John Clor add this show to one of his Thursday E-blasts email he sends each week so I can see how many are planning to attend. After that we can update this thread with the final plans to meet up before the show on Sunday.

I really don't care where we meet as long as I get an accurate address for my GPS (coming from Salt Lake City) and an accurate time to meet.

Thanks

Well so far it is just me and you. I think I will have anyone who wants to drive into the show together can meet at the old Wax Musuem that is not far from the show on Beach Blvd. I am staying at the Hotel that is next to the Musuem.

Saw this mentioned in the latest Ford racing e-mail. Wish I could attend but it's a long way from me.

I'm in depending on the meeting time. What time are you looking at?
