Does the GT/CS come with spoiler delete opt?

Hey gang,
Is there a spoiler delete option for the CS? I have heard conflicting stories?

No, there is no spoiler delete option for the GT/CS. Many people have tried, none have succeeded.

You can get spoiler delete on a 2008 Cal Special.

Now I am confused..... The 2008's come with a spoiler delete option and the years previous you couldn't, right?

Last I checked the 2008 GT/CS does not come with a spoiler delete option. If you don't believe me, then see if you can get your local dealer to order it without the spoiler. I tried this with 05fordGT (ford salesman) back in April, and since he couldn't get it to take the order with the spoiler delete, I decided not to get a GT/CS.

Where did you see that it was an option? I just re-read through the 2008 Order Guide (and the 6-page thread) and didn't see any mention of spoiler delete for the GT/CS. Like AFBlue suggests, I'd see if a salesman can configure one on their system. No spoiler delete (and no fanblades) is why I ordered the Premium GT instead, then added the GT/CS front and rear facias myself.

and to think you can get the hood scoop as an option ? I guess its the GT package , then if Ford does not offer a spoiler delete it then my be how they want people to see it, but I can see it being removed and holes plugged as an owner option !

That's what one of our local guys did to his Vista GT/CS.
I think it is a little ironic that it makes it look more like my car would with the GT appearance pkg.

If a dealer has a V6 in the identical color, he can take it off and put it on the GT/CS (switching the gas cap emblem also).
He can then sell the V6 as a dealer upgraded option (with spoiler from GT/CS).
The GT/CS owner may pay for the cost and the dealer reaps any benefits in price on the upgrade.

yeah, otherwise its $270 for a new trunk, and $320 for paint and install...I have the Sirius radio which complicates the swapping-with-a-V6 somewhat....but its a mod I will do.

So did any one try to get a salesperson to order a Cal Special with the spoiler delete option.

You can definitely get spoiler delete on a Cal Special for 2008. I am fully aware that you could not in 2007.

Just curious, what is your source of information that this is can do this? Not doubting you, but I tried this very thing it April and the Ford computer system wouldn't take the order. Gives you the same error you would get if you tried to order a Windveil Blue GT/CS.

My source is Ford.

I'm working on getting proof for you and fully understand why you would be sceptical.

Was the order you placed in April for an 07 or 08 because as we all know you couldn't get spoiler delete on an 07 GT/CS.
