Here you go the compressor is behind the tank, keep in mind that my car is a convertible that is why I didnt place the tank in the middle so that I can still get to the convertible motor.

As part of the transition from yellow to red trim on my Terlingua sort-of tribute GT/CS, I covered the Gawdawful-Yellow Trunk Bunny with red reflective tape. Much more in keeping with the now-red calipers and under-fenders, don't you think?

Thanks Rick, Gary. Love your car too Rick. One of the most unique CS's I've seen.

Just did a mini detail today. Wash, Meguiers 205 applied with a porter cable, Collinite 845 applied by hand, chemical guys Black on Black on the trim and grilles.

Looks good. I'm envious. What would you reckon the cost was, in dollars and hours?

Thanks Frank. Weird story actually. I always wanted this dash so about a year ago I created a "saved search" on eBay for "Bullitt dash used" with the setting to email me as soon as a new listing matches my search. Well I never got any email alerts and forgot all about it. CJ Pony Parts sells the dash for $730 + $52 per piece for each of the bullitt AC vents. Way more than I'd be willing to spend on a dash and the Ford dealerships had similar pricing as CJ's. Two weeks ago I got an email alert from eBay at 6am saying a listing came up matching this search. I checked it out and sure enough it came off a 2009 Bullitt and he was selling it for $200 "Buy it Now" including all the AC vents. I snagged it within 3 minutes of it being listed. Sorry to ramble but I was so stoked cause the cheap overlays look like crap and the factory one is so fricking expensive so I was soooo stoked that I actually found a factory one this cheap. I mean who the hell takes this off their bullitt? The guy aparently hated it and wanted the carbon fiber dash.

As far as time. It took about 45 minutes to do the swap. I the only tricky part is de-powering the passneger airbag and swapping it over. The rest is just a series of unscrewing and screwing some bolts.

Thank you. That is a good story. I liked that dash from the beginning. I'm resigned to doing without, by now.

Reckon I'll see quite a few tomorrow at the "Friends of Steve McQueen" car show at Boys Republic in Chino Hills. International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club say there will be more than sixty Bullitts in attendance.

Thanks again for the particulars.

Seems to me sixty was a bit high: there was an easy forty, however.

Plus one GT/CS convertible, black with red "accents".

OK Frank ,???,,where and what is that red around the grill ,,I've been looking for something like that to put on my inside door panels ,you know around that center part from the plastic outer part on the inside door panels ,,did you paint that red or is it a U-shape lay over , " the red around the grill " ,,yes that part , your car looks cool by the way like that ,,

Hello, Richard. What you see there is a plastic strip from this vendor [http://stores.ebay.com/autogrillez07...d=p4340.l2563], who seems to have several colors. The strip is "U-shaped" and backed with 3M sticky stuff. It seems to work good; the only caveat is, don't stretch it much when you put it on. Too much pulling makes it narrower in spots, which while not too obvious, still looks a bit "off".

HOWEVER, what I think you are looking for is this stuff:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/190662260757?item=190662260757
which I also bought and installed. You can see a bit of it in the center of this photo. I don't like it as well on the two-tone interior as on the all-black or all-gray, but it was easy to put on and will be easy to pull off if I eventually decide to lose it.

Thank you for the kind words.
