I thought the early 05s had a different tune that cost them some top end power. Also, the HC trap was removed after 05 so this might have added 5-7 HP. Just some ideas. The 07s are suppose to have some extra bracing to stiffen upthe the transmission tunnel. I think all of the verts have a front strut tower brace now.

I spent about an hour last night looking for a thread on TMS, with no luck. I'm now wondering if I picked that up over on BlueOvalNews, or perhaps on one of the early articles in some Buff magazine on the GT500 itself. I'm thinking that the time reference was just before my 07 arrived, which was June 28th. Having ordered the car April 11th, I vacillated back and forth on just keeping my 06. At the time, the account dealt with FoMoCo beefing up the 07 to deal with the additional weight requirements for the GT500. I'll keep looking around on the internet; as usual, no one at the local dealer knows anything about this. Of course they knew nothing about the changes in wiring or the FRPP requirements from 06 to 07 Mustangs either! Have anyone else wants to jump in on this, please feel free. Will keep in touch. Joe

Joe - thanks for the update and that's one nice looking GT/CS I'll take a look around as well and report back if I find anything.....and to the post above about the '07 verts coming stock with a strut tower brace - I don't believe that's accurate as mine did not. I just installed my Steeda two bar brace from my '05.

You're right, of course. I should never have mentioned the word "brace", and just spoke of the front strut towers. I found a thread that might help here: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...ut+tower+brace

2005 and 2006 GT's with Manual Trans came stock with LS 3.55 rear end, for 2007 is stock with LS 3.31's and LS 3.55's are $100 option. Sucks if you didn't order you car new.

So true, except in Canada where all manual '07s still have the 3.55 standard.
