Thanks to TacoBill's tech write-up, I've got new rear springs!

I've had my Roush rear springs and BMR panhard bar in my basement for weeks. This past Saturday was really nice so I decided I'd put them on. I was going more for leveling the car off than lowering it. Hence the stock ride height for the front.

Things really do GO better with Coke!

Nice looking stance. Notice any difference in the ride quality?

Joe! You know where this is. Rt. 13 in Delaware, northbound, heading
towards Wilmington. As for the seats, does THIS answer your queston?

Mark,

Please don't feel like I'm living in denial, but honestly, I don't. I know I
should because the springs are stiffer and there's less travel, but on the
open road I do not. At speed (65mph), I would hit little things like
expansion joints, very small imperfections in the road and the front
and rear respond the same, both in actual feel and 'sound'.

 When I go over the speed bumps at say 5-15 mph, I do. The rear
is noticably harsher. The answer there is to slow down! Why would I be
flying over bumps designed to slow down traffic, anyway.

If you've read my other threads (here and on MF.com) I was inquiring about
Tokico D-Specs in antcipation of the ride being so bad I'd want to address it.
So far, so good. Remember, these Roush springs only drop the rear .75-1.00
inches. Lovin' the look. Like night and day. Any sTANGer would notice it, but
the common folk, prolly not.

What I'm really liking is throwing the car into a sharp turn or cloverleaf and
gettin' on the gas. When I hit an imperfection under these conditions, the
azz end no longer wants to kick out. There was always that skipped
heartbeat when the car was 'airborne' for that tenth of a second and she
started to come around. The car plants quite nicely, thank you. On the
other hand, maybe I'm not driving fast enough? I can fix that with the right
foot, tho! (I'll work on that and get back to ya!)

cant remember seeing that. the only time i spend on route 1 down there is south of 295/95, although maybe its down there. Very cool shot, and the seats look great

Those seats look great. I like that the insert is very similar in shape as a 65 Mustang's seat. Nice tribute!

Thanks, Joe. I'll tell you EXACTLY where that silo is. There's a spot just north of the 896 cut through. If you're coming N on #13 there is a left hand exit onto RT#1 where that new bridge is. If you were at that light, waiting to merge onto #1, and you got out of your car, you'd walk South about 1/4 mile and it would be on your left. I saw the giant 'Coke Can' (haha) and the first thing that popped into my head was, 'Things go better with Coke!' Get it? 'GO' with Coke. I kill myself sometimes.

TY, Danny. It's a entire kit I got from Classic Soft Trim in Austin, Texas. I worked with a guy named Jimmy Stratton. If you talk to him, or Bob B. just tell them you know me from GrabberOrange.net. $699 plus $75 s/h to my door.

I may have to add these to my future purchase list.

Cheese302 3/27/07 12:58 PM

i might have to talk to him as well. i had been thinking about getting a second set of front seat skins because i am afraid of mine turning into standard ford leather seats. hmmmm

Well, let me give you some motivation. Not sure where I got this shot, but they are definately Classic Soft Trim:

Of course, a blue insert would look pretty killer, too!

AFBLUE 3/27/07 02:23 PM

The problem I will run into is that I'm getting the side airbags, so I'm not sure how that would work with those. Blue inserts would look good though.

pitpup 3/27/07 06:21 PM

Mark,

They have the exact same kit for Stangs with airbags and without. I looked at their PDF files and the kit number is actually different. Here is a link back to my site showing all four pdf files:

http://www.grabberorange.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=445

They are in the first post, just under the header: Feb 17

Let me know what you think...

Stan
