Grabber Orange Mavericks...

Now if you don't know the answer, please don't guess. But what years did Ford offer the Maverick in Grabber Orange?

I know the earliest would have been 1970. And I believe the lastest could be 1974. So who knows in which of those 5 years did Ford make G.O.?

Unless the GO color was called something else back in the day I can't see where they were ever made, lol. Now I know they were made, but according to this site, not called Grabber Orange. They show every color but orange, lol.

This will wake you up in the morning:

I remember the G.O. Mavericks. This color you see above is not (IMHO) G.O., but a nice repaint... mmb.maverick.to has a forum and everything. Think I'll find my answers there if I look hard enough. I know '70 and '71 had Grabber Orange Mavericks. Just no sure how deep into the '70s it went. '72? '73? '74?

OK, we're getting somewhere now. According to Wikipedia, the Grabber package was offered from 1970-1975, however I couldn't find a GO specific number.

From 1970: Exterior Color Codes:
Grabber Green: Z
Grabber Yellow: D
Grabber Blue: I
Grabber Orange: U

The 1970 Boss 429 featured a gloss black hood scoop, chrome Magnum 500 wheels that used a Boss 302 type center cap, the revised exhaust system and the Hurst shifter. Color availability was Grabber Blue, Grabber Orange, Grabber Green, Calypso Coral and Pastel Blue. Interior color selection was limited to black or white.

The 1970 Grabber SportsRoof Mustang consisted of a option package that included 1969 Boss 302 side stripes (but without and Boss 302 lettering) and a trim ring/hub cap combination for the wheels. A second version used different side stripes beginning at the outside rearview mirrors and continuing to the rear. 302 or 351 lettering at the top of the stripe designated engine size.

Grabber Orange was only offered (prior to 2007) on the Mustangs in 1970! There were other Grabber colors on the 'Stangs after that, but GO only in 1970 according to the Red Book by Sessler.

The book that I have does not cover the Mavericks. Only Stangs and Trucks. GO was offered on Ford Trucks in 1970 as well. Not in '71 +
