And yes, my vert bar does have the light. Which now reminds me that as with Bob, I really like the light tint on your tail lights. Think that will be my first winter mod.

I hear you on the spoiler, which is probably why I kept it as is for so long. And although it is not ideal with the painted nylon plugs in the trunk holes, with this car color you really don't see them. But as with you, I would love to find a clean Alloy trunk lid with no holes.
i love convertibles. i miss having one. hopefully one day ford will come out with a hardtop convertible option.

Yeah Bob, I may just do another testing fitting/shots with the V6 spoiler bolted on just to see how it looks with the new wheels.

i did some updating to my car since the last time. https://themustangsource.com/f728/al...5/#post5471301
hmm... actually my car looks quite different since then. one thing i am bummed about is that i had to raise my car's height back up because the turbo was scraping the driveways. it is starting to slowly get away from my original vision of making it a 1966 gt clone. i had to take off the rear "GT" faux gas cap emblem because it was getting all corroded.
anyways, here is how it looks today:
diamond head in the background.
repping silverhorse racing. most of my stuff from them is in the interior. i used the v6 grille to go with my '66 theme.
i was trying to make the shaker functional. i guess it will do for now, but i gonna try and think of something else. oh yeah, and i know the carbon fiber radiator cover is kind of ricey, but at least it is close to alloy in color. besides, my car feels quicker now with the weight i was able to shave off.
reproductions of the original '66 GT and "m-u-s-t-a-n-g" emblem. side stripes to original dimensions. 65-66 center caps.

obofglob, thanks for the compliments. i was under the understanding the vintage center caps wouldn't fit, but the scott drake version screwed right on with no problem.
since those pics, i got blue valve covers with the laser etched "ford racing" logo. really helps add some interest to the engine bay.
i love your intake and the aluminum reservoirs. i thought about doing it, but chickened out since i thought it would be too hard to monitor the fluids. yeah, wimp.

Bought some GT 500 style chrome rims a couple of weeks ago, to replace the polished stock 18 inch bullitts'.
These are 18 X 9.5 with the correct offset and backspacing for the Brembo brake upgrade that I expect to do later this year.
BF Goodrich KDW II's 255/45/18
It was cold an rainy day when I took the photos....so they were taken in my shop.

Put some American Muscle smoked tail lights on. Hopefully I am also done messing around, at least for this year.
Besides we picked up a 2012 Focus and I have already started modding it.
