That's what I like about the Alloy so much, in some light conditions it's black, others it's definitely metallic grey-ish. Kinda like a charcoal version of the Dark Highland Green on the Bullitt.

I have to say that the Alloy Metallic is the perfect color, thou I'm partial. It has the sex appeal of black on black with out the worries of black paint on a daily driver (nicks and road rash).

I think some of the underlying hue in the alloy tends to reflect brown colors more readily. Much like Redfire Metallic will reflect blues quite easily, giving it a dark blue hue in the shadows in some situations.
Just like Redfire has no blue in the paint, Alloy doesn't have any brown in it... but obviously get it on a dirt road with the right lighting and a skilled photographer, and it may look that way from the reflections.
