That's what i was saying. there are plenty of guys on TMS with mustangs, so obviously a mustang can successfully exist north of the border. now, those in NW Territory or the Yokon area may not really be inclined to buy a Shelby, but guys in BC, Alberta, Ontario, etc. would obviously have plenty of time to drive the car, if not in the dead of winter.

And i did indeed believe that those in South Dakota do nothing but live in Teepees and look at Mt. Rushmore, lol

Satellite Radio is not going to be available until Dec

The Hertz Version is NOT a Shelby but an upgraded GT only.

The "reported crank breaking" story was on an EARLY engine that did not have the same valves or pistons as the final design.

The engine will use 5W50 synthetic Oil 6.5 qts.

Rated HP will be published in the order guides as 485 @ 6000 rpm and 475 lb ft torque @ 3750 rpm. They also said that the car is being tested at a higher HP that will be published in the brochure but they would not reveal it until it is finalized.

NO info on pricing.

The marketing manager is trying very hard to get production increased to 10,000 units which will be distributed across the board [US, Canada, WDMO].

Has a programmable tach. Can program shift points.

My color is std however when you start cr the guages will light up red, white, and blue. Can be changed.

Cars will be delivered to dealers with derated calibration to cut down on hot rodding at the plant or en route. Dealer will have to disable while performing PDI.

Those are the highlights.

i am a little confused about the Hertz car though, what do you mean it is not a shelby, doesn't it say shelby on the back and have his sig on the dash plate or was that just for the NYC show car?

It does look like a Shelby, says Shelby on the trunk but the engine is NOT the 5.4L Shelby engine, just a modified GT engine.

The Hertz Shelby's are GT Mustangs turned into GT-H's at Shelby Automobile's assembly facility in Las Vegas. Kinda like what Roush or Saleen does.

I realized this was previously posed. Sense then you posted this new information, it was possible the old post could no longer be correct. My dealer won't order until the pricing is released so you can see why I'm very anxious to get pricing.

Screwjob I agree but Canada only got 800 Mach 1s (03/04) total across this gigantic nation and I've seen plenty of those in GTA and Ottawa Valley. So they may not be as rare as you think, especially if the increase production

Supply constraints from suppliers and CAFE averages more likely have to do with it.

In one of the posts the points to this video, the SVT chief engineer mentions this about the upcoming 2007 car. I don't think anyone will have to wait a year for a KR (if such a car is produced) with extra zoom.

They are not reducing production, the Mustang Brand Manager and the Shelby Manager are trying to get production increased; a lot which is tied to supplier constraints and CAFE.

2004:

Coupes: 3,768
Verts: 1,896
Total: 5,664

2003:

Coupes: 8,394
Verts: 5,082
Total: 13,476

When all said and done, 19,140 vehicles over 2 model years.
