Are they offering the GT500 in all the colors? I have a feeling Tungsten would not be one of the more popular. Red, Black, Blue and White would seem like the colors of choice.

Thank's Brad, that color is nice but I would prefer something bright like red or blue. Is that the only pic or is there more? Now only if someone would be able to get a pic of a blue with white...

I thought I would like it better than that. Maybe it is the fence and/or the lighting

What are those criss-cross lines on it?

But seriously, I think I'll be waiting for a "brighter" color.

Tungsten Grey does to the GT500 what Elmer Fudd does in singing the Pointer Sisters' song Fire.

Wow that looks more like Windveil Blue to me. I'm guessing that the picture or the fence is distorting it. It could have been an overcast day as well.

Yeah, I noticed that immediately, too. Seems like the ride height is all over the map with these cars.

As to the color: bad angle...bad lighting...stuff in the way. I'd like to see some shots of the front and rear under daylight sun without anything obscuring the car. Bottom line: I wouldn't judge the color from that one picture.

But that 4X4 look that keeps showing up definitely concerns me. I mean, which is it: what we saw at the NAIAS...or this?

I can only hope NAIAS is the look for the GT500. This care looks like it is the same as a stock GT. I would hope Ford lowered the GT500 a least a little.

This car might be another of the faux GT500s (i.e. GT in GT500 bodywork). I guess we'll have to wait on actual production GT500s to see how the ride height looks.

A car like the Shelby needs a bright color or one more traditionally used for sports cars. Tungsten Grey is nice, I have one, but to me it's not what I would picture on a Shelby.

Yeah, but isn't that the whole point? The GT500s shown at NAIAS allegedly WERE supposed to be the "actual production" cars.

I have a weird feeling that those NAIAS cars were artificially lowered to make them look better, and that the Tungsten car you see above possesses the actualy production ride height we're going to get - past Cobras have certainly had plenty of wheel well gap.

I REALLY hope I'm wrong; if not, then it's an intentionally misleading bait & switch on Ford's part.

Since they just started building pre-production Shelby's, I'm guessing that's what they'll look like.

The one at NAIAS was an actual GT500. The one fake we know about was at another show and the ride height was much higher. Like I said before, it's all speculation until we start to see the real thing in actual production trim.
