I'm sure that the GT500 turns lots of heads and it's the newest but how does it compare to the 04?
I would say the '04. I feel more comfortable driving it and know what to expect. I am a bit paranoid driving the GT500 specially in traffic, eventually that will pass as I drive it more. I hope.
The power is the big difference and handles very well for its weight. The 1968 Mustang GT and GT500 were my favorite design so its relation is a factor. Then again, the '04 Cobra is my favorite since and up to the introduction of the '05 Mustang GT. If I had to choose the GT500 would be the pick. I would like to say they are equal but they are not. Now if the question was "would I pick either one over any other car", the answer would be yes, absolutely.

Nice pictures none the less george! it seems like its so hard to capture both cars at once doesn't it? I look at one picture and feel like my eyes just jump to one car at a time....IMO the place the GT500 really lacks is in the rear, with that ugly spoiler, thats the only thing I don't like about the GT500 (besides the weight, but that isn't even nessecary to mention anymore) Beautiful cars George!

On driving my 05 Roush v.s the GT500 - it is the same way with me. A professional driver told me to drive the Shelby like she is any other car;-and do not think of what she is while driving. The GT500 is well mannered in traffic and i have found for the most part - when unlookers realize it is a GT500, they back off.
Yes, these S197's do look big next to the previous Generation. Although, the dimensions on these are not much more than an inch different than that of the 60's Mustangs. Fellow Stangers got out one night and measured them up while comparing specs.
Nope, not jealous in the least...
Great stable and you deserve it man. I've always enjoyed your posts and the information you have shared on this site...even before the big crash when we all had to re-register, I blame Scott.
