Well everyone I got my new black Shelby GT 500 last night. I was able to get it for 5000 over msrp. I was very supprised because a month ago at another dealer they still wanted 75,000.00. I hope i did alright let me know what you guys think. I went in to check on the status of my GT/CS i had on order. With already a month past and no build date i was forced to look at the GT 500. All i can say is what a car kudos to SVT. Only disappointment so far was the stock plain front floormats. I would have thought they would have put a shelby badged set in it. Can someone let me know if its supposd to come like that. Thanks All

For today's market, 5k is a fairly decent deal. Many are still bringing 10-15. I am hoping for all the Gt500 buyers that they will be down to sticker by summer.

congrats! yeah believe it or not you actually can get used to 500hp. Check out all the threads on the various GT500 forums about what has been working. So far the JLT intake/tune has been a big hit along with a smaller pulley if you're feeling froggy. I have a K&N CAI prototype that has yet to be released to the public. I'm planning on installing it during the dyno day event going on here soon. This new CAI is a full replacement and is supposed to just bolt on with no tune required. We'll see how it goes.

You might like to consider the effect of a tune and its relation to the manufacturer's warranty before making any decision.

 

+1 Especially if you had purchased and extended one.

Many sites are out ther for the SVT vehicles. There are a lot of Members making Mods to their GT500s on SVTPerformance.com They are having great results with the JLT CAI and Tune. Around 55-65 at the wheels gains in HP.
