wow i thought this would be big?

afterall even with this suspension and the purchase of the kennebell you would still be under the price of the ss upgrade!

do you want performance or you do you want to purchase a name?

did i mention that this gt500 lost 294 lbs during its transition???

with the no option gt500 weighing 3850 wet, a gt500 with this set up could weigh under 3600lbs. less than the weight of the stock terminator and stock 00r.

pas gt500 update 10-17

at vir the gt500 had cooling issues. in just 2 laps the mustang was pulling timing like crazy, there just was not enough air to keep temps down. power loss was huge. currently the car is being prepped for sema and cooling/breathing issues are being worked out. pas will be back at vir mid nov!

some stats on this 3892lb gt500.
60-0 96ft
80-0 155ft
pulled 1.27g on the street with ra-1's!

i talked to pas at a little after 4 est today. at that time kevin was updating thier website about the car, and what they are doing in prep for sema. i believe they told me that this car would be at thier booth or with the griggs racing booth. regardless i would check out both booths.

thier website is...http://www.performanceautosport.com/

Interesting, I was talking to SVT just yesterday about a similar system they are developing. Talk is of it being warrenty and being installed by Ford. If they do, Angel's going on a Diet!

SVT tells me that opening the car up to about 600 hp and having a system such as this, will make for a well balanced Drag Car and Road Racer.

Suspension itself is currently estimated at 1800.00.

Over 1g on the street?

thats interesting stangette. do they have any idea when it will be available? is this the suspension that will be on the kr? you do know that most gt500's will hit near the 600hp mark crank with a tune only?

warranty is nice but once ford has any clue it was track driven any and all warranties will be done!

I was told that it will be very similar to that found on the Super Snake. That most of the components will be upgraded. Springs, Rear Arms, Panhard, Stabilizer, etc. That it would be likened to the Roush Stage 3 setup, but tailored to the GT500.

And if you have driven a Stage 3 or 427 Roush, you will know what the suspension can do for a well balanced car of decent hp rating..

Yes I do know, and experiance about once a week, what a 600 hp at the crank GT500 does. Angel got a full open 3" Bassini, and open it is, with the JLT and a custom tune.

This is why SVT suggested putting a revised, and tuned suspension setup on her to better take this power, while at the same time benefit from the Warrenty (which Ford would have to prove you were road racing v.s. playing on the freeway ); - as well as SVT engineering. Albeit a bent panhard bar and a set of tie rods custom made as it is.
