I know this may be a little early, but does anyone know if the rear wing is an option? Looking at it, I think I would prefer it without one. I also prefer the GT's without it also.

I believe it's standard. There's an order list with "options" listed floating around here somewhere.

In the spec section of the GT500 Press Release there is a "option delete" section. The spoiler is not listed as a delete option. Dang, I don't like that spoiler/ducktail or what ever else they call it.

I'm sure it's removable, but you need to fill the holes then.

Not that I'll be able to buy one anytime soon, but that's just stupid.

That's one of the worst looking spoilers out there.

I thought it was pretty slick looking, but your comment got me to thinking.....which spoiler do you think looks best? Post a link if you can. THANKS

Personally, none of them are that great. I'd like to see a real '68 Shelby ducktail spoiler, but no one makes one. The closest are of course CDC & SSE. Fang started to make one that was very close to the real thing, but I haven't heard any more about it.

Yes. It's not as curved at the top as the others, but the bottom where it meets the bumper is too bulky.

I may be in minority here but I actually like the ducktail. I also like the hood scoops, at first I didn't like it, but when I saw pictures of the white one I started like them.

StangNut,

I looked all over for a '68 Shelby ducktail picture and this is the best one I found.....is this what you are talking about?

Being part of the theme, the GT500 would look awkward without the aggresive spoiler IMO. At least it is not the size of the Saleens.

Yes. And like I said, no one makes one yet even though Fang has come close. CDC & SSE spoilers aren't even close.

I've located an accessory shop that "claims" they can have a ducktail built the way I want it. I showed them a picture of the Concept and we went out in the shop to look at a GT they were working on, but he said he wanted to see the Shelby in person before he could promise anything. I have to get a Shelby first, but if I do, I'm converting to the Concept look.

I've gotta say that I very much prefer the no spoil;ler look of the concept, except on the GT500, I also like the LeMans stripes, which presents a problem, b/c the stripes are vinyl, and I I delete, or remove and fill the spoiler holes, then there will likely be several inches of extra vinyl and almost certain fit issues...
