I'll give you all a heads up. I have the new Hotwheels Elite FXX Ferrari, and it is amazing!!! So this model will be just the same. The Elite line is a real step up for Hotwheels. These will be worth the money.

How's the quality compared with AutoArt? I always buy AutoArt but these Hot Wheels Elite intrigue me.

05, I just got the new Hotwheels Elite FXX Ferrari, and it is awesome! I'm on a diecast site and alot of us had our doubts about Hotwheels coming out with cars that cost in the $55 to $70 range, considering their last Enzo wasn't the greatest, and their 05 Mustangs were not that good. But we were all shocked when the 1st Elite model hit (it was a Ferrari F40) The paint is flawless, the interior, and engine bay are detailed like no Hotwheels before. the tires and wheels are prefect scale, and the weight of the car give the feeling of a more expensive model. The FXX I have is all metal, even the rear engine cover, where it was plastic on the regular $25 Enzo. The mesh grills is real metal, and not a sticker!! Believe me, the Elite GT500's will be worth the price. Will it be better than an Autoart..? No. Autoart have the best models for the money. But these will be a veryclose 2nd. When both companies release thier GT500's, I'll post both of mine, so everyone can see the difference (and the closeness of the two, and they will be close).

Now, the only thing I wouldn't do, is get it from the Ford Collection. The reason being, they charge full retail, and they usually arrive late. If you watch ebay in the late part of August to early September, I bet a few of these will leak on Ebay, as the online sellers routinely get their models in early, and put them right out for sale. You will be able to pick up one of these off Ebay in the high $40's to high $50's. My FXX which retails for $70, I got for $56 shipped, and it well worth that! Just have to look at all the sellers on ebay. There are several diecast sellers who are great companies to deal with. Can't wait for these to arrive.

Diecastmart and vs.diecast on Ebay are both very respectable ebay sellers. I have purchased numerous diecasts from them (I have over 200+ at home in boxes, all supercars) and never once had a problem. If you want to deal with a website that isn't Ebay, the best one to deal with is Diecastmuscle.com. Mark and Dave are the best at customer care. While you may find cars cheaper on ebay, these guys shipping is less, and faster. Can't wait till these come out. Hope this helps JBA.
