Holy crap I love that color combination. It's very unique and it looks AWESOME.

 

While I like Grabber Orage, I think it is a love/hate color. And if I am correct about that, I wonder if the guy who won the auction for the first public GT500 was a little pissed his was an orange one.

Hopefully not for him, but it would be kinda funny if he hated the color...

 

Doesn't look half as good under daylight, IMHO.

Some '60s "flower power, love child" colors just don't look right in the 21st century. I think this is one of them.

 

I thought what I heard during that auction, was that the winning bidder got to order the car to his exact specifications, and that the tool chest that went with the car, would be made to match the car. Looks like the guy picked Grabber Orange as the 1st customer car. Looks awesome to me.

Did a little research, Ron Pratte the guy that bought the GT500 for 600k, also bought teh dreamliner bus for 4.3 million, the pontiac concept car for 3 million and a chrysler d'elegance for 1 million, all at the same auction...

Not trying to insult you but what makes him an idiot? Rich, yes. It's just that while you and I might see that as stupid or excessive. Spending that for him might be like you or me spending 25K. Personally I don't car who bought what if it was not my money then who cares?

The grabber orange one is sweet, I don't why I like this color so much......it's just **** cool.
