Brad, you know any more than this, tell me this car will be quicker stock than 12.8 @ 110 (180kms) ???

Or is Ford playing safe with those numbers. I'd be happy with 12.5 @ 114-115 stock but barely out of the 13's........???

Know anything further??? I'm hoping this is 'safe' as if they posted 12.30's for example and people don't run the numbers then Ford is on the hook. Link attached, look under 'specs'. I am going to the show tomorrow on opening day and a GT500 is suppose to be there.

I'm thinkin' low to mid 12's before mods!....Manufacturers are most always conservative in their numbers.

The Z06 was clocked at 12.0, the Ford GT at 12.2. Both have less weight and a few more horses. 12.3 is optimistic. You might like to hold the breaking news a bit longer.

Did Ford say these times for the pre production Ford GT, because I know the Ford GT does mid to low 11's (depending on sea level).

Those are head to head comparissons which also included the Viper. The stats are available at the Ford Vehicle site.

Car & Driver's test, way back when it first came out, had the GT at 11.3.

...I definitely believe with the right driver,..the Z06 vette as well as the Ford GT are mid 11.3-11.6 cars all day long,no way do I believe low 12's with these 2 machines!.....and the new shelby gt500, I expect with good driver to be 12.3-12.5 range.

one of the mags tested the ford GT at 11.2 @ 132mph

Ive seen stock 03-04 cobras running 12.8 so im pretty sure one with over 100 more (real) horsepower will be able to do at least the same time, even though its a little heavier

Man,if my Z06 and /or Ford GT could only get 12.0 and 12.2,...I'd be selling them awful fast, saying I got ripped off!! Try numbers like 11.2 and 11.3 and you be closer,...hold the breaking news! And the Shelby GT500 should have no problem with 12.5 stock,...no breaking news there either,...just reality!!!
