OK, I think many of you are crazy thinking this car is going for over $500,000. My guess, $89,000.

Just reviewed this entire thread...lot you guys were right on the money, and many were way under.
I would have been in the later category. I wouldn't have thought it would have gone for more than 200K max.

Bet they will do the auction on their biggest night - Saturday. Since all the money will go to charity - all normal restraints will be off. $300K +

At the time I thought I was being extremely liberal in my guess - wrong again.
Now, anyone want to bet If FORD is going to use this in their promotion of the car. For me it was worth watching to have The Man say he is back where he belongs!

Why is it people are concerned with the prices people pay for a car at Barret Jackson?
NONE of the prices paid for anything at that show are indicitive AT ALL at what people will pay in the public domain.
All Barret Jackson is, is a mastabatory circle jerk for people with more money than sense. The fact that they charge $40 bucks a pop, per day just to watch this in person astounds me. I can drive across town and witness it for myself, but I can find better things to spend $40 on for an afternoon of entertainment.
Will people pay a premium for a new Shelby? Yes the first one's will for the bragging rights. This guy was the first, and will be the largest. He's king poop, Whoopee!
I can see the next guy to have one in his garage will probably pay around 100k for it, a few more guys down the line 75k....but by the time you get to about 20 - 30, you'll see max about 10k in markup, and I'm talking ACTUAL selling prices, not what you see on the sticker. By the time the 2007 run is up, some people will be able to get them at M.S.R.P By 2008, it will be the norm, with some people able to wrangle a bit below M.S.R.P
I will concede that at least the proceeds go to a charity, so I guess in the end all this insanity does have an upside.
