YEAH!!! That along w/ the price increase to approx $45K makes my decision to buy the lime GT all the more right FOR ME! When Ford accounced their working relationship w/ Mr. Shelby years ago I wanted to wait for the Shelby version but I went ahead and purchased the GT. I am very happy I did. I can certainly get to the power levels the GT500 will have and I can do it over time. I love the lime and many people state "great color." No regrets at all. Thanks Ford.

 

Maybe this is a hint that they will do away with Satin Silver next year?

Screaming Yellow is out for Valencia... which is an orangish yellow. I'm just glad Mineral Grey is out (probably for good)... just makes mine more rare.

 

any pics of col. red? wonder if that is just a name change or if it will be a "real" new shade of red. My 99 is perf. red and I love that color - hopefully col. red will be another orange-red, but i doubt it. I bet it is just the color used on the proto...

 

I've seen colorado red - I think they used it for the explorer or F150 or something.

Glad to see no redfire - they need to simply cease production of that lovely color. Makes mine a little rarer.

Just because a color isn't offered on the Shelby doesn't mean it won't be offered on the GT.

 

No but having Satin Silver, Alloy Grey, and Tungsten Grey seems like too many grey colors.

 

Brad, I think I have seen somewhere on this site that Legend Lime will NOT be offered in '07. Maybe I am wrong but hopeful.

 

I recently read an article that said silver is the most popular vehicle color at the moment and that...I think it was PPG...were developing new colors of silver and introducing them to the auto makers. apparently Ford read the same article

 

Colorado red is the Same as Torch Red.

Keep in mind just because a color isn't offered in 07 doesn't mean it will never be. The "missing" colors might make it to the Shelby within a few years.

 

Hmm the 06 mustang is suppost to finnish in june it wouldn't supprise me that the run of the GT 500 is done after that before the regular 07 mustangs this would give shelby the colors that could be dropped like legend lime making them even more rare and it would be cost effective to build them all at the same time.

Now..... by those stripes, it looks like they are set on the Evo-looking hood no one seems to like.

Too bad. That + vinyl stripes really cheapens the car IMHO.
