You think Ford knows that the Mustang people
are not that crazy about the rear and that maybe they will make some kind of change the following you..before the new 2014 redesign model?

truth is most people like the styling of the car from front to back. there might be minor visual tweaks on the '11 GT like on the V6, but don't expect any major changes till the next redesign

Was the tail light redesign between 95 and 96 due to people not liking the horizontal design, or was it just an update? I can't really remember, and there wasn't huge Mustang forums back then like there is now to offer a gauge of the general opinion.
I think we might see a bit of a tweak of the tail light design (not overall shape) for 2012, but nothing major. I don't think it's a deal breaker for anyone, just a few vocal people that keep whining about it. I for one, love the rear.

shouldn't this go under 2014/2015... ??
again!? More bashing? Speak for yourself! There's plenty of "mustang people" that find the 2010's leaps and bounds ahead and more modern than the 05-09 (which is what I take it you're basing the 2010's design in comparison to- since most of the bashing comes from that segment.). I loved the 05-09, but it's time was up. The refresh and stemming away from it worked in my opinion. I consider myself a "mustang person" and don't hate on any of the previous generations really... Mustang enthusiasts are loyal. If you don't like it- fine. Don't buy it.

Was this another person from a gas station who confirmed this??
No one cares what a handful of 10 people say. Sales wise, and in the given economy this car is doing well. Mustang's total sales equates to 56,469. So figure a total sales of no more than 75,000. But realistically 63-68,000... Low- yes. But right in line with the current economy. And considering 2009 sales numbers of 60,096 and 2008's of 87,224. It's been a downward trend... As the economy betters itself and as the new and improved stable take shape obviously the sales will do nothing more but increase!
NO THE REAR END WILL NOT CHANGE FOR THIS GEN.

I will only say I think they 'hondaized' the rear and let it be on that subject. Rest of the car is rockin'.
In regards to the 95/96 changeover... The 94 and 95 had 5.0s, and the 96 was gettin the 4.6. That was to be it's 'new for 96' bit.
I'm thinkin' I heard the new lamps were going to be Cobra only, or 'new for 97', but that Ford had heard enough "they're not supposed to go horizontal!" and made the new ones standard for all 96s and on.
That is what I've heard. Any proof yay/nay, I'm game to hear it.

With that said I've had more people like my GT500 rear then not. I hated the new taillights at first but now I love them. The black plastic doesn't bother me either. Probably because the bumper is more styled on the GT500. Most likely why some guys have been converting their GT's to it.

LOVE the rear on my new 2010. Much nicer looking than the drab huge *** of my 07.

I love the rear end. Deal with it. Either go to the aftermarket or wait for the next generation. Stop whining because enough people love it or at least like it to justify it or at least keep Ford from blowing money (that would likely get passed on to the consumers) on something that doesn't need fixing.

I am not a fan of the rear as everyone knows but how can that be a deal breaker on a car no matter if its the V6/GT/GT500 that are going to be some of the best Mustangs ever built. These cars will be one of the fastest and best quality stock Mustangs to date. Im sure no matter what car it is you can not love everything about it but its the total package. I know Camaro owners who do not like the interior of their cars but love the overall package, Challenger owners do not like the weight and soft handling of their cars but love the overall package. Yes i love my 08 GT but in 9 out of 10 catergories the '11 will leave it in the dust.
