I have seen on other forums that Yellow Blaze has been discontinued. Has anyone heard this. If this is the case this has to be a rare color. Less than 600 produced last year in Job 2 and I have no Idea how many were produced for Job 1 this year. I would say about the same for Job 1 this year for them to discontinue the color.......if it's true.

 

I guess I'm indifferent as I love the color, and its either going to be super rare, or just rumor that its not being made anymore.

 

Yep... If I had one, I wouldn't be too sad.

That said, I'd like to own one some day so if true, this is a pisser, IMO.

 

Chris, I really like what you've done with your YB. At this point, unless someone confirms the order banks change (2012 Job 2 should be coming up), I wouldn't worry too much. If anything, we should see Sonic Blue and Sterling Grey within the next month or two.

 

It has a very low % of ownership (around 7% of all the Mustang colors) so I wouldn't be surprised to see it go away for 2013.

 

Yellow Blaze hasn't been available to order for a few weeks now. Per this week's Mustang order restrictions from Ford....

"Final Yellow Blaze (NQ) orders were due on Thursday, July 21."

Also, even though Sonic Blue is now showing in the Job 2 order guide (and it was selectable in the order banks a month ago, but with a late availability message there), it is no longer acknowledged in the order banks (it now says "paint code unknown"). Kona Blue lives on until further notice, it appears, as it is still orderable even though it was supposed to be depleted and replaced by Sonic Blue. Again, per this week's memo from Ford....

"At this time estimates show that Kona Blue (L6) is available for Scheduling."

Lava Red is no longer orderable and Sterling Gray is still showing as late availability in the order banks. All other colors are available to order right now (Grabber Blue, Performance White, Race Red, Red Candy Tint, Black, and Ingot Silver).

 

Kona Blue is listed here as being available until December with no replacement.

 

Sorry to see Yellow Blaze go as we were waiting to see what changes will be made for 2013 before deciding what to order for my wife. Now I see the 08/01/11 revised order guide lists Yellow Blaze Tri-Coat with limited availability. Is it possible that Ford will again produce this color in the 2012 model year or does final mean final?

 

It's now the year 2022 and I own one of the rare Yellow Blaze tri-coat mustangs, up until a few weeks ago I was the only person to have the pleasures of owning a one of kind mustang in such a beautiful color. Now, there are 2 of us but I've never seen a mustang in this color up until I bought mine, so the rumors were true they discontinued the color and no longer make any new models in that color
