Today, right on queue (a week before build) the window sticker showed up.

Odd though that the "Sold to" doesn't include my name which makes me think the order is a dealer stock order and not a retail order.

That could actually turn out to be a good thing in terms of the rebates that explicitly say "take retail delivery from dealer stock." They won't be able to pull the "special order" crap and refuse the discount/rebate.

Now I just have to make sure they don't just throw it out on the lot for test drives!

In other news, the dealer got two V6 Mustangs -- a coupe and a convertible yesterday.

I don't think the "sold to" is ever filled in because technically you haven't bought it yet.

 

The "Sold To" never shows up on the on-line sticker, presumably for privacy reasons.

 

thought i saw someone say that it only shows sold to if you use a/x plan or something like that.

I'm happy for you!!! My V-6 was ordered as 'Retail Dealer Inventory' and my 'Window Sticker' has my name on it.

 

It used to, but this time my name wasn't on it, and I'm X-plan.

 

Mine does have my name on it in the right column where the additional items and costs are listed but this may be because I used the Z-plan.

 

I used the X-Plan, but the 'Window Sticker' list the full prices of the options on it.

I "ordered" on 4/3 (signed the buyers order) but he dealer didn't enter it until 4/13. So pretty darn good, IMO.

it should be on the real sticker in the window.. thats what my dealer advised me.

 

The 'Sold To' box in the lower left corner is for the dealer. If your car was ordered via the X-Plan then the order number will be followed by O/T X, if a retail sell O/T 1 and regular dealer stock O/T 2. In the past Ford would put the ordered for individuals name: first initial and last name, on the window sticker after the list of options preceded by TAG 000XXX000.

 

Mine says O/T 1. But it is an x-plan purchase. Not at all surprised if they screwed that up at the dealer.

I think I read build dates/VIN status is only updated on Fridays. Truth to this?

 

Typically updated on Fridays, IIRC.
