Wish my '11 sounded like my '95!!

I have a buyer for my 95. I have been starting if, but that's it. Nice day, rain's not here yet, so took it out. 1st time I've had top down/back since October! Just went about 10 miles. Man, I wish my new could sound like it! It just sounds 100% different. My new 1 just mops the floor in every other area!! When I drove 95/daily, I knew it was loud, just wanted more. Now, it's perfect!!

The mustangs had the best sound all the way up to 04. 05 and up it seems they just can't deliever that same throaty growl the previous generations of mustangs could. Like the sound of this 03 cobra, sounds amazing and I wish my stang could sound like it! Fast forward to about 1:20 to skip Pauly D's spill lol

Yeah, my 95 sounds good cuz it's not legal. I have my front 2 cats gutted, rear 2 just removed! I have the exhaust dumped, which I love!! Went through like 7 diff set-ups to get the sound I wanted. Unlike the 4.6's, doesn't have that sweet hollow sound. Just a teeth rattling rumble. My 11 will gets it cats gutted as soon as I can/warranty.

I just got rid of my 95 as well. Long tubes, off road x with dumps, combined with the cam and other mods sounded wicked. I miss mine as well.

I couldn't really afford that for mine. I won't miss my 95 @ all!! Sure maybe the sound when I 1st start my 11. As soon as I press the go pedal, what 95? Guys on SN95Forums said I'll miss my vert top. Not 1 tiny bit! That's what I feel.

How come you didn't keep your 95? Would have been cool to have 2 5.0's from different eras.

I'm a 33 yr old disabled guy. I can't afford both. Nor do I have the needed brain power to keep up with 2 cars. It's cool to say I have the what thought was the last 5.0 & the 1st 1 brought back. My 11 makes me forget all about it.

i had an 80 with 85 5.0 roller motor, an 83 notch 5.0, and a 96gt. this sounds better than all of them. judging by how many folks stop to listan to mine, others feel the same.

I will get that sound by a SCT Tuner with that fake cam sound. I don't want it to, but should up my HP # some. Already talking to Bama about that.

Oh yeah, kinda just hit me!! When I get that sound, it will blow away my 95 in every aspect!!

Yep, while a good safe move, its to bad the fuel tank had to be moved ahead of the rear axle.

I've given some thought to using race bullets or chambered mufflers ahead of the axle provided there is enough space to fit them under the car (both mufflers are around 4-4.5" OD) to see how it sounds.

I agree 100%. I have not found a 05-10 or 11-12 exhaust combo that sounds as good as my 02 with Flows and a Prochamber. I'm glad that is the case though, because I'd be more even MORE likely to spend my money on a 2012 if they sounded like my 02.

I understand how you feel I have a 99 GT with Bassani and it sounds amazing. I struggled to find a good sound with my 10 GT. I have a mid muffler set up now, it still will never sound the same but it definitely gives the car a real growl that you can't get from any muffler axleback.
