Will my 95's rims work on my 11, tires ?...

I prob wouldn't switch, just wondering. Mainly cause it I have these power-coated, can I run on my 95 Cobra R's?

The 95's are the 17" Faleens. 17x9, my 11's are 18's. The rear rims are a 1/2" wider, why the tires are different sizes. I can't really afford not to have the ability to rotate my tires. Thanks!!

On the websites I check for wheels they always have to categories '99-'04 and '05-'11. Maybe its a different bolt pattern or spacing?

What is the offset of the wheels and the tire size? They will probably work. I've swapped wheels and tires from my old '01 Bullitt to my '08 GT with no issues. One set was 17x8 stock New Edge GT wheels with 245/45 tires, and the other was a set of 17x9 Enkei wheels with 22mm offset and 265/40 tires, that I use for autocrossing.

The main difference between SN95/New Edge wheels and S197 wheels is the offset. Offset for the earlier Mustangs was around 30mm, while the S197's is 45-50mm, so SN95 wheels on an S197 will make the wheels and tires stick out farther (by 1/2" to 1" usually). The bolt pattern is the same, and the hub bore of the wheels should be the same as well.

Sounds like you can't lose! The rims will probably ALMOST sit flush with the fender!

You might be able to use the R's, but you would need to bolt them up lightly and check for brake clearance and rub clearance since they are not the recommended offset.

My question is why would you want to take a step backwards by putting 17" wheels on your car and then having to get new tires to match the height of the oem 18's since the older car uses lots shorter tires???

Except the difference in tire diameters will also give him a 4x4 look. I lowered my S197 about 1 1/4", and with my 265/40-17 tires, the fender gap is about the same as when it was stock with the stock wheels and tires. There is 1.5" difference in diameter between the SN95 and S197 tire diameters.

Cheaper tires. I'm 33 & disabled. Now I've bought the 11, I've really have to tighten my spending's. My car is like 60% of what I get a month. Payment & insurance. Thanks!!

I'm just thinking out loud, kinda. I'll prob never do it, I just wondered.
