Smile Will Ford offer the 2010 Mustang V6 PP W/a Auto Trans?

Living in LA W/a lot of traffic. It would be great if Ford offered the PP W/ an Auto Trans. The freeways here suck as I am sure some so-calif mustang manual owners will agree. Has anybody heard anything re: the 2012 models?Any info would be great.

Doubt they will. Just like you couldn't get the TrackPack on a 2010 GT with the auto.

Of course you can get a regular V6 car and option the 3.31 gears with the auto, not like the one ratio only on a GT auto.

I wonder what current market research shows. Are auto. trans. drivers interested in a performance oriented vehicle? I'd love it if Ford gave us the option of an auto GT with the Brembo package or a V6 PP with an auto., but I'm not sure the demand would be high enough to justify the production. For now, if you'd like an auto with some great performance numbers your only option is an aftermarket tune/exhaust.

Call your dealer and ask them, they should have all this info.

If you want something equivalent in an auto, get an MCA/Pony package V6 Premium, then add the FRPP handling pack.

We don't know yet, nothing "official" has been released for 2012...

I would guess, no. If you want the performance package, just learn to drive a manual.

Do you think we'll see an automatic GT500 anytime soon? Nope.

I wish that my area had no traffic. My 4 mile trek to work takes 10 minutes... Thats why I am getting an auto GT. Just get the auto and enjoy the power, when you can... PP or not, it will still be a great car. You can always add to it later.

We may just put a 2011 auto trans in. a manual P/P car it i can find a wrecked 2011 W/6 speed auto if we get lucky. i guess it would be a 1 off Mustang P/P auto at that point.Sounds like a challange .Have to see what happens.

Get an automatic with 3.31 gears and a tune. My V-6 automatic barks the tires when it shifts into 2nd gear and i feel a 'very slight' tire slippage when it shifts into 3rd gear, at wide open throttle.

What is the big deal? Buy an auto MCA car and get the 3.31 gears. Then add FRPP Handling Pack. It will handle better than the PP and be lower. Why would you try to deal with swapping transmissions. I could almost guarantee you transmission swaps are no longer as easy as they used to be. Order a V6 3.31 auto car, order the 19" GT wheels (like $372 or something like that from the factory) and call it a day.

WAY, WAY, WAY easier and less $$$ to do it the other way around. Get a regular automatic V6 car and add the handling improvements. The only thing you won't get is the enhanced ESC with sport mode.
