Thank you all for your comments . I have 8 screws and 6 staples in my neck from getting rear-ended while stoped at a redlight in 2007. I now have a cracking sound in my neck from this wreck . I hope something didn't come loose.

Long story short: I was in the middle of three lanes on the interstate. A white Jeep (Liberty or one that looks like that) was in the fast lane, to my left. It was raining like crazy. It got beside me and started going side to side and let off, slowing down. I thought, "that guy is crazy". He started to go by me again (i was going around 60 m.p.h. Speed limit might have been 65 or 70 m.p.h.). He got about 20 feet in front of me and started going side to side. He went sideways, missing my front end by inches. Somehow he smacked me on my right side (see pictures on post 1 and 2). He also hit 3 or more cars on his way behind me. He ended up over 300 feet back. I talked to the lady nearest to me. I asked her, "what happened"? She told me "I don't know!! All i saw was a white Jeep and then, BANG!!!". I'll get the accident report tomorrow or Monday.

Thank you all. I feel like you all are like a family to me, in a way

Hopefully it was just loss of traction, and not drunk driving or stupidity/carelessness

Really sorry to hear this David. I'd get with your doctor from the first incident with your neck, and get it checked out thoroughly. Document everything and pray the idiot has good insurance in case you have problems.

David - SO sorry to hear about this and see those pics. Glad you are (basically) OK. I guess you got that 1st scratch out of the way. I always thought you had one of the finest Mustangs on TMS.

Keep us posted on the repair progress, etc. My deer repair took over 3 weeks because parts were not stocked anywhere (in September 2010 for my 2011 GT).

That sucks David, hope you are OK. Little Red can be fixed good as new.
Do you need my Clay bar to buff that out?
You taking it to H&H?

Oh man, sorry about this but I'm glad you are alright for the most part. Just put a car cover over the car and no one will notice

Ouch! Recover well and it's time to mod the rear of the Stang now.

Wow, sorry about your car. MORE SORRY about your neck. I hope you make a speedy recovery. My wife was rear ended not to long ago and ended up with bulging discs and a months long headache and difficult sleep.

As per the car, I'm pretty sure if you use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound you should be able to get that right out. Maybe have to clay bar it first. Oh year and then a body shop and wait around while insurance drags it's feet.

Bad situation, of course it could be much worse. I'm glad you're fundamentally ok.

David, So sorry to hear about the accident and that you may have more issues with your neck as a result. I hope it's nothing too serious with your neck. I'm sure the new pony will be good as new again in the right hands. Good luck with everything.

Thanks everyone.

Had my estimate done today. H&H body shop is owned by friends of my family and do very good work. Total is $4,414.69. Not too bad, i thought it would have been more.

The guy in the white Jeep Liberty got 3 tickets . One for.......Too fast for conditions. Anotherone for......Failure to maintain lane. The third one for.......Expired registration. They were a total of 4 cars in the wreck.

I'm going to have a m.r.i. done next week to make sure a screw or two didn't come loose.

I wouldn't need an mri, they could talk to me for five minutes in the examining room and tell that I had a screw loose.

that sucks man. I didn't read through the replies but even if you feel ok now, whiplash and neck/back pain can set in after a few days.

Anyways, time for the insurance company to buy you a new bumper and GT500 lower valence

LOL, are you talking about H&H Body Shop at Longmire Road and 25W? I'm not sure if they're owned and operated by the same people, but they knew me on a first-name basis during my high school years in the late-90's.
