A wider Pirelli P Zero tire just for the back ?

I have the stock 19" wheels on my my GT with the Pirelli P Zero tires wich are p245/45/19 and was thinking of just going with a wider tire in the back only and stick with Pirellis so they will match, what would you suggest ?

Same question for my 12 V6 with performance package...I believe these only have the 19 x 8.5 inch wheel instead of 9 inch like the GT. I always like the look of the slightly wider tire in the back...

I know...was just wondering if the V6 can also accept a wider tire or not since it has a slightly less wide wheel...

The stock 19" GT wheels, and the PP V6 wheels are 8.5" wide. The widest tire approved to fit an 8.5" wide wheel is the 255/40/19.

Now with the 255/40/19 tire being a 40-series instead a 45-series tire like the stock 245/45/19 tires, it's overall height is shorter by approx 2/3".

With the amount of driving I do each day, I like the ability of rotating tires to get the maximum life/mileage out of them. Increasing the rear slightly would eliminate that.
