Who's window Film did you use? Type and darkness

When you had your Windows Tinted what manufacture of film and type of Film did you have put on. Also what did it cost.

I am getting quote's for window film and they are all over the place. I have several other cars done in Ceramic Formula and Luminar ATR?

Any suggestions on Color darkness?

Llumar CTX. Medium on the sides, which Is probably near 35%. And darker on the back and quarters. Whatever is legal in Florida. The place that did mine was $219 plus tax. I didn't shop around. They have been doing my tint for years.

Stay away from 3M. Their clear bra might be good, but their tint is not. Llumar or SunTek (if they're still around) for me.

I get a local tint/stripe shop here to do all my tinting, they use Formula One film and I've always been more than happy with it. Lots of different types too. I always get one with a good heat rejection, especially with a black interior. Pinnacle is what I've currently got on my car.

I've used SunTek and liked how it held up.

If you don't mind me asking what's wrong with 3M? I have it on my car and love it I've had no problems so far.

Had it on my 03 (came with the car). It became hazy over time and the reflections from headlights at night became terrible. Search the tint threads on here, there's a couple guys with 3M tint that say the same about the reflections. I didn't notice on my car right away, as I never really drove it at night. Then after I read that thread and drove it at night, it drove me nuts lol.

I've heard Pinnacle is another good brand btw...

That is what I have on my Suburban. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for the Formula one tint?

The place I go to the owner use to work for 3M. He told me there tint is not that good but they rely on the 3M name to sell it that is why he will not carry it in his tint store. it doe snot last long color fades and bubble's and does not stay clear. In Florida with this heat it is a big problem. I have never owned it but I am told that is an issue.

If it is good for you then I am sure through the years they have had to make a change with it. I use 3M for allot of things. I am getting ready to have behind the front and rear wheels 3M cleared for protection.

The tint shop that has done all my vehicles quit selling 3m as well. They retinted a couple of mine, under warranty, that had 3m.

Where in Florida are you? I live in cental Florida, north of Orlando.

I just got mine tinted with 3M. Wish me luck! I did get a lifetime warranty and plan on having my car for years. It also stis out all of the time, not garaged, and parked in a parking lot all day at work.

I got 35% on the sides and rear, as dark as legal in Mississippi.

Some of 3m tints are considered the best. In Florida the heat is really bad even in the winter the cars inside temp will be over 100 degrees.

What was the cost if you don't mind?

That's about what I'll end up paying for all windows (inc. windshield) with Suntek Carbon 35%.

Can you post some pics of the windshield? I've seen 70% in person, trying to decide if I can get away with 50% lol
