2010-2014 Mustang Information on The S197 {GenII}

When the dust settles on the S550, how will S197 be viewed?

Sure I get that MJJ but is that any different than today when you think about it? Look how many people on this very forum express their absolute dislike of the new 2015 car. At the same time look how many express their acceptance and appreciation of it. Obviously in 1974 there had to be a lot of people who liked the Mustang II else they wouldn't have sold so many of them. I have no doubt that you never liked the car but what I am saying is that every time Ford has released a new variation of the Mustang the car has had its detractors and its fans.

Now personally I tend to agree with you that there isn't anything about the Mustang II that I find appealing. If I did own one I would restomod it and modernize every aspect of the car. Even then it wouldn't be worth much would it? When was the last time we saw a Mustang II come across the stage at Barret Jackson? lol

Gotta say, I love my 14 and I got it b/c I figured it would be a LONG time before there were deals on the 15. But I can easily see myself buying an S550 eventually. When I stare at the car on the computer screen, it does nothing for me. But in person, it looks like a sexy cross between a Ferrari and Porsche. The angles just seem to work.

I agree. In pics, it usually does nothing for me. But in person, it's very captivating. It has presences on the road, especially at night.

Well, if you are suggesting the 2015 Mustang looks better in the dark, I'd certainly have to agree with you!

I drove a GTO for 9 years, and I agree.

With my x-plan price and $2250 in rebates, I saved $5500 off sticker on my 46K '15GT PP. There are some dealers out there right now

Years from now the S197 will be remembered as 'just a part of the history and evolution of the Mustang'.

My first Mustang was a 'new' 1976 Mustang II. I liked it and got a lot of thumbs up. My next 3 Mustangs were 'new' Fox bodies (80-81 and a 86). I then went to mini vans until my children got grown and gone I ordered my 2011 in March 2010.

Im sorry you had to go thru that. I decided to buy a 6 passenger flex for the fam car and my 14 is "daddy's car". Hopefully it can stay that way.

I'm with you, our 13's are "in your face" cars, no questions asked! That '15 just doesn't show that same magic.

Check out a PP GT in Ruby Red, Competition Orange, Ingot Silver or DIB - they're VERY in your face.

The competition orange with black wheels is absolutely beautiful combo. The DIB color is beautiful. The 2015's colors are not the problem. The issue with the 2015's is they are fugly as heck. Only a rear end a mother could love. The 2005-14's have that muscle looking magic.
