Well? Sharper handling? Maybe a decontented Cobra R type car? Anymore power and it would HAVE to be stepping on GT500 toes for less money.

it'll may end up being more aesthetically served. That being said, different tires, a shaker, maybe an exhaust? Who knows, it may only be what the 08 bullitt was in terms of engine output. Something like 15 more hp.

Not sure. it'll be anyone's guess tho.

I'd be happy with any of those. The 5.0 GT appears to have plenty of power so whether the BOSS gains 5 or 50 doesn't make much difference to me.

This is not going to be a pleasant place when the Boss is announced. Remember the crying when the Bullitt came out, even though it turned out to be an awesome car, you'd thought some members had lost a member of the family when it was revealed to be 315HP. Boss is the most hallowed Mustang name,IMO,This is going to get ugly.

how about a Boss thats upgraded from the Track Pack GT, if its possible to upgrade from it. bump the power up to 450 or slightly below. **** will there be anything to slot between the GT and GT500? that gap has been tightened a helluva lot now

Hopefully it will sit lower. Why the Mustang still sits as high as it does after all these years I'll never know. I guess Ford has a deal with aftermarket spring companies.

That would be insane! From the combo of power and RPM, it looks like the torque continues to drop off quite a bit above 7k.

I am hoping the 2011 GT500 is underrated as well. With better heat control, reduced friction, reduced accessory load, revised exhaust breathing...

A quick pulley change, tune, TB upgrade, catless-x have netted 60-80 rwhp on the 2010s... Now, where did I leave my traction?

I think there will be space If not it should spur Ford to greater efforts on the GT500 powerplant. (TVS stock mebbe?).

Along with more power, Ford could always lighten a 201X Boss 302 Mustang for more performance. Toss some of the cushy stuff as well as foregoing a bit of sound insulation. Some wider tires and more aggressive suspension tuning, add a Watts Link for good measure since that's more likely than a IRS finding its way back there.

There's a certain amount of ground clearance they dial in to allow for the crappy roads and speed bumps we have on our roads.

You know, if you have a lowered car, how easy it is to scrape the pipes and such when going over various road hazards.

#1 you haven't seen what the 2011 GT500 will run yet...
#2 you haven't seen what the 2012 GT500 will run yet...
So how can it be stepping on its toes

There's plenty left with the SE.
Remember, the engine in the GT is NOT the engine in the SE....
And there's some pretty cool features. 1 of which I HOPE the next gen GT has....

The motor is already known to most, it's been discussed on here as well. Not sure which 'feature' Boomer is talking about, but I'd like to know myself. The 2011 GT has dynoed consistently at 430-440hp already, so I'm hoping for something closer to 475hp myself.

So are we expecting a 5-10k price premium for the Boss?

I think the 2011 GT500 will be .5 second faster in magazine tests than the 2010. Not because of the block, not because of the EPAS. Tires. Ford will only send out SVT PP cars I bet and the tires are much better. A 2010 versus a 2011 with the same tires I expect a .2 second difference.
