I like the speedo right where it is. I have found a nice little unexpected benefit. The wife can't see it on the left when she is in the passenger seat.

I'm with you Moustang, crappy speakers in shaker 500. I'm thinking of putting those Pioneers in everyone seems to favor. I am not relishing pulling those door panels though.

So of the crap selection, what would one purchase to be the least or "higher-end" crap speaker in your opinion, Gary? I can't exactly have the "Bentley" of sound systems in my 14mpg guzzler at $4.31 a gallon up here, so on the "affordable crap" end, what would you recommend sir?

Now that I think more about this, maybe a grab handle above the passenger side window.

And now that I think about it...just a little bit more storage would be nice for wallet, cell phone, keys, sun glasses. Mostly I'm solo so this all goes on the passenger seat.

I think the mustang has great interior overall, except for the door panels, they are made of hard plastic for the most part. It's like they did an amazing job everywhere, and then they got lazy on that piece of door panel. : (

my 1990 celica even came with soft touch material covering the entire interior door panel..

I agree. I was contemplating on how hard/expensive it might be to try and have custom door panels made.

I'm not saying it's a regret, but the paint on my used 2011 isn't as pristine as I wish it was. I've got a lot of work to do on it.

Agree.
I keep my wallet and DROID wedged between the e-brake and console.

Do you guys not put that stuff in your center console? I know it's small and impossible to keep organized, but it works great for those things.

I always keep the center console empty for that very reason. I never use the phone while driving and I always know where it and my wallet are when I'm in the car. It also helps keep the car cleaner on the inside and less cluttered.

I already have gum, rubbers, change , pen& paper , pocket knife, cell charger, auxiliary wire for radio attached, a few CDs and a handgun . It's crammed already.

Hey that's what I got in mine! No wait -- I also have some jumper cables and an old grenade that I think was demilitarized...

I would certainly have added the Recaros if they would have offered them in my color. I don't need the nav, as I know where I'm going, and if anything, I'd have bought a Boss or GT500, but the latter is way too rich for my blood. The Boss was tempting, but I don't like the seating options. I also wanted the glass roof
