What would you change about your Stang (desired options, regrets etc. )?
I did an exhaustive search to find a race red premium convertible, and wouldn't settle for anything else. I got exactly what I wanted.
That said, there are 2 things that I'd change on the car if I could.
1. the location of the cup holders is less than optimum
2. finding the hole for the oil dipstick after you remove it and want to put it back. It's hard to see it without a flashlight.

If I had my druthers, I'd *would* have liked every imaginable option - except leather. But hey, you can't beat the base "performance on a budget: GT!!!

I would have given up my heated seats for Recaros and heated mirrors if it were available. I also would have liked the individually adjustable steering and universal garage door opener that was added after 2011MY cars.
No regrets though.

No regrets on the purchase, unless you count not being able to afford a Shelby and not being able to wait for the 13 model a regret.
The base model serves me perfectly. I have a long list of changes I want to make to the base model, but I didn't want to pay for a bunch of extra stuff that I really didn't care about, and in many cases I didn't want to pay Ford's overinflated price for options that are inferior to cheaper aftermarket.
I can do a 700 watt sound systems with components up front and a 360watt RMS 12" sub for less than a Shaker 500 system from Ford.
For the cosmetics I want to change out that honeycomb grill to the black Pony delete Bullitt grill, painted mirror covers and tail light bezels. Already got the tint that I wanted put on. Other than that, I like the car without a lot of stripes and excessive body work. Considering adding a rear wing, but nothing more than that.
For actual performance mods I plan to install a lowered suspension, change rims and tires, CAI and a tune, and maybe one day change the axel back. I'm not really looking for anything more than that. It is a daily driver and almost always driven in heavy rush hour traffic, so it's really not worth the money trying to get more speed out of it.
Believe it or not, I'm actually wanting the CAI and tune to improve the gas mileage more than improve performance, which is also why I'm not wanting to change the 2:79 rear end gearing.

I just got my Boss 302 two days ago. Only thing I wish it had, which were not options, are leather recaros and glass roof.....The glass roof would be awesome, I hope people order it and it does not go away as an option.
A speedo needle that does not cover the whole number and then some that it points at! I like to push the envelope on the highway and can not tell accurately what my speed is without my scangauge. Other then that I love this car, OK a better sound system would be nice. My brother just bought a Mazda CX5 with a Bose sound system and it is the best factor sound I have ever heard.

I had Bose in my 2005 Z71 crew cab. It is a great factory system. The best I've ever heard as well. I wish Ford would contract with Bose.
I would also have to agree. I had Bose systems in my 98 Maxima and 03 G35, and I have yet to hear another factory stereo that sounds better. They are the only factory radios which I never replaced.
Love all my options .... I love the color but am beginning to regret Kona .. it's too hard to keep clean and when it is clean .. it doesn't last long. I probably should have done 3.55's instead of 3.73 too ...
Two things i'm not liking so far:
1) wish i would've choose different aftermarket tires as my sticky Continental conti sport3 pickup every single debris and rocks like a magnet. And that is sooooo **** annoying.
2) Love the look but hate the harsh ride with the dropped suspension, but it has nothing to do with the Koni's but everything to do with the crappy roads we have over here.
Love everything else about the car. Best option i got was the glass roof.
Best missed option would be turn signals in mirror.

I think the GT/CS is great; however, with that said, I detest the fake side scoops and that flying wing. The black plastic they used on the bottom of the wing is a real pain to keep black!
If I could have ordered the car without those, I would have. And, a HUD would have been nice.

Park in the sun and peel the side scoops off. Mine where off within 24 hours. Rear spoiler was replaced with a GT500 spoiler within a month.
As sexy as black is really wish I would have gotten Grabber Blue or Race Red.
