What supercharger should I buy?
In the near future I am planning on buying a supercharger for my 13 gt.
I am thinking of buying a roots style supercharger to avoid the cost of having to upgrade the intake manifold and throttle body.
More than likely I will install it myself, so it must be straight forward to install.
The other mods I have planned are long tube headers, and x pipe. Not sure if I should go catless or not.
The block is stock so I do not want to go close to the limits of the coyote, while I feel anything above 650 bhp at the flywheel is the limit that the car can handle.
I am not into drag racing but more of a canyon carver.
With regards to the tune, are the ones that come with it good enough instead of having to take it to a shop to be tuned?

Regarding the tune - the stock blower tune is "ok"... I thought so too. But the throttle response was not as good, and the tune itself is very rich and very conservative. Getting a good custom tune (street or dyno) is the way to go, as it matches your car to the tune and your driving style on the street. It maximizes reliability and power.
My 2 cents.

For "canyon carving" or road track, I would put my money elsewhere. You don't need the extra power and don't want the extra weight on the front end, or the easier potential to spin the car by pushing just a little too much with your right foot.
O.P. Your 420 HP V8 is not the problem. Your floaty, pitch roll and dive heavy suspension is. Invest a fraction of a blower into suspension and your car will be transformed.

Im very curious of the roush tune, everyone say its bad but how is it exactly compared to stock 2013 auto tune? Does it have better throttle response or firmer shifts than stock? Also wouldnt running too rich with roush tune damage engine?

Looking for a supercharger?!? That's easy! Either Roush or VMP hands down. You can't bet the TVS blowers. (Turbo is a killer of them all though. Check out JPC if you want to do turbo.)
Check out Justin's car from American Muscle. Roush supercharger with VMP tune. 640RWHP and 560RWTQ! Nasty stuff.
