What is this strap under the hood?

Detailing very closely for the Mustang Club of Greater KC annual show today, I saw this strap which was not attached to anything - where is this supposed to be connected?

true. Just cap the opening in the firewall and intake tube. There is a kit for it.

It wraps around the tube below the stap and conects back to the bottom of the strap. Mine has been removed so no pictures.

Got it - just took me a minute to find the mounting hole on the underside of the mount itself. Thanks man!

Does someone have a pic of the whole assembly? I'm just curious as to how and where the tube 'picks up' the sound.

it gets the sounds from the inlet tube that goes to the TB. I ripped mine out and threw it away.. its no something you want to add.. it doesnt add nice clean car sound.. just muffled crap that makes the cabin awful.

That's what I was wondering... so it's basically pipes in extra sound from the intake side of the motor. Thanks. The only other sound I'd like my car to make would be a little "whine"

It's something I want to add, silly for someone to throw it away when I'm looking to get one.
