I know this issue has been beat to death in the past, as it should be. I'm trying to find the perfect set of lowering springs to go with my 2011-2014 Koni yellow dampers. I think a 1.5 front and 1.7 rear drop would be ideal from stock. I haven't installed the dampers yet as I'm still spring shopping.
I've heard that the front will drop an additional 0.25 due to the stuts. So, would I add that to the manufacturers claimed drop on springs?
Also, would I be able to powder coat the springs without compromising spring integrity?
Lastly, I want to eventually run 20x10.5 or 11x10.5 rear wheels. Would rubbing be an issue with certain springs?
I'm noticing a pretty substantial difference in ride heights on pitures of cars running the same exact springs. Why is that? Settling?
on my 2013 GT i am running Eibach springs with koni adjustable.
I recommend them and because the maojor vendors all seem to carry them too. Mine came as part of my ground control fully adjustable system (including ride hight adjusters and adjustable konis).
in back i'm running 1200.250.0200 (eibach part number)
12" long, 2.5" diameter and 200 spring rate.
Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs Front -1.0", Rear - 1.5"
Eibach Pro would give the car a great stance. Now as far as powdering the springs would not be the best idea due to when compression is applied to the springs the powder will crack and start to come apart.

Do you have any pics? Also what do you mean height adjustable? You're running coilovers?

I had the pro kit before getting my ground control system. I liked the pro kit stance, but needed shocks later so i upgraded the whole setup
Oh, man, KILLER stance! I am saving that photo to my desktop and telling my mechanic that I want the same. RIGHT NOW! What are those wheels and tires, and how do you coordinate wheels/tires/suspension? It all seems complicated, but I love the look.
I went with Koni yellows, Eibach sportline springs, FRPP jounce bumpers, Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates, Gabriel dust boots and Ford oem spring sleeves.
^ looks like I'm too late to the party. You ordered your parts already? I would've suggested Steeda Competition springs/adjustable, as what I have, paired with Koni Yellows. Rides like she's on rails with a stance that you can tweak to your liking.
Hiya Z, that's a seriously wicked looking black car! I'm having a little trouble making out the stance because of the colors of the photo. How much do you have it lowered? And you say the Steeda springs themselves are adjustable?

Hah! Thanks Rob.
Fooled ya though. It's just the pic that's black that I edited. I've had wayyyy too many black cars. She's actually Kona Blue, Ford's "best" color.
I have it adjusted to about 1 and 1.5" (I think)... I have the Steeda Comp adjustable ones.
I wonder if you consciously picked that wheel color (what is it exactly?) because of how well it complements the black trim all around. This has become a whole thing for me, as every time I see a chrome or aluminum wheel I like in a vacuum, I picture it on my red car with the black trim and realize it just doesn't work. Yours does. Detalles, por favor

LOL... many thanks man.
Yes, I definitely picked that specific wheel and color. It's the Niche Milan. The color itself is simply "dark clearcoat". To me, it looked kindda bronz-ish, gray-ish, etc...all blended together. I love them. They're 20x10 in the rear, and 20x8.5 in the front. Don't quote me though. It's been a few years. I forget the offset too. I'm not a fan of chrome on mustangs. Personal choice.
