What do you want to see for it's 50th birthday??

A couple of us have been mulling this over. 2014 is the 50th birthday of the Mustang and that it will see changes for this year.

Our "wish list" came to include the following;

GT has a supercharger as standard on the Coyote engine.
V6 has Ecoboost standard.
Independant rear suspension
AWD on the GT
Driver selectable engine management ie. able to select sport, road, economy modes etc.

These were just a few. What would you like to see, just curious.

1)Use some better material for the interior .
2)BMW,Benz andmaudi owners need to be owned in every department
3)educate your sales staff on the car, not the other way around

BigR,

What car is that in your avatar?

1 - IRS (is finally time)
2 - Less wheel gap
3 - Soft plastic material on the door
4 - Name brand premium audio option

I agree but I have a feeling it will take some time for Ford to adjust to a new IRS. I know they did it before, time will tell.

Direct injection will add some nice power to the coyote. I'd like to see a revival of the Mach 1 with maybe a supercharged coyote. Leave naturally aspirated to the GT.

Heads Up Display (HUD). I had this on two Pontiacs, and really do miss it. You never have to look down again. Everything is right in front of you, speed, tach, nav, radio .

HUD would be sweet!

AWD option would be cool, but not for the Mustang. The Mustang is a RWD pony car, and should stay RWD. I also think it should stay with a solid axle.

Emberglo painted, Special Edition GT with Parchment suede inserted Emberglo interior, harkening back to a 1966 Pony color scheme.

I'm pretty sure the Mustang will go IRS on the '15 model, I don't see how Ford can't and still compete. Everything else has it now.

Personally its a loss for me, solid rear axle is one of the things I love most about the Mustang, but that's the muscle car guy in me

I would like to see

1) It not become or in try and compete with those German cars other then on the track (no need for any engine management crap)

2)Keep it an affordable sports car (been going away from that to an extent) like is was made to be and how it should be.

3) Ecoboost as an option

4) SVT makes a triumphant return
