What do you guys think of this GT/CS badge mod?
I have been looking around the threads on the Cali Special and it sounds like there are a lot of people struggling with the fact that there is no 5.0 badge on the new edition. I made some mock ups in GIMP for a style that I think some people might like. Tell me what you guys think, does it look too out of place? does it distract too much from the GT/CS lettering?
The shops are a bit rough but they should get the idea across.

Not likin' it.
The GT/CS stripes remind me of a '69 Mach 1, and Ford never put the engine displacement or any other ornamentation near this stripe. Displacement nameplates went on the hood scoop instead.
Maybe some 5.0's on the sides of the hood's power dome would be more fitting. Whether the actual side medalions would fit or look good on the hood or if decals would look even beter, I'd have to see it.

Ok sounds like not a lot of takers on the door panel badge. Here is a shop of it under the GT in a couple of alignment options. Do you like it closer to the stripe or spaced? Do you like it centered under the GT or centered under the whole GT/CS?
Note: My Scaling might be off, the badge might be a bit bigger in it's actual form.

i think that looks a lot better in either configuration but i prefer the closer spaced one
if i didn't know better i would've thought "factory"
there may be some conflict with the swept forward CSGT and the straight up n down 5.0 but it still looks good

Fail on the door and I dont care for it under the stripe either. Just my opinion of course.
Same here. I like them without spoilers, stripes, badges ect.... I just prefer the clean look even if its a bit plain looking to some. I wonder what the tri pony would look like in place of the 5.0 badge? You can pass it off as a V6 and really have some fun.
I prefer it without the 5.0, but I'm a 'walk quietly and carry a big stick' kind of person.
