The Sturgis Bike Rally started today, so it was a good day to stay off the roads, as we also had stormy weather. A great excuse to do a complete detail, wash, wax, clean all the interior, treated the leather...she is happy and relaxed in her garage.

Thumbs up

I'm much more of a lurker than a poster but I have to put out some positive feedback today. I received and installed a Barton shifter and bracket today. This thing, from a manufacturing stand point is spot on. The quality of the machining and assembly is excellent. (I am in the quality business, so I have a reasonably educated opinion) And, from a driving experience point of view, it is also excellent. Positive shifts, mechanical feedback, it's just fantastic. I was really only interested in doing this because I wanted a white shifter ball. But, after reading so many positive reviews, I decided to do the shifter and bracket. Man, I hope it stays as good as it is on the first day!!

Anyway, Thanks to Dave at Barton. Customer service was great, shipping was fast (to Canada).

It runs great and is even more of a blast to drive. Now I've got to get the stock shocks/struts replaced with some Tokico's ASAP, but everyone appears to be out of stock.

Took one of my Pype Bomb's off and used a mini electric saw to cut an inch off of one of the hangars that was in contact with the rear of the car making a horrid noise. Fixed! Then installed a drop in K&N air filter into my Roushcharger CAI, installed a new blackout magnetic rear panel, all while enjoying a beer.
