Took her to the Mai carshow here in Wurzberg, Germany with my car club. The drive was a blast as the autobahn always is. I covered 125 miles in 1 hour, 42 minutes getting back. MAN! I'm going to miss the autobahn when I leave here. The Grabber blue Mustang is owned by a fellow German club member. It a V6 premium that he's selling in order to buy my car. This was one of the last events that I will do with my car. It was a great time though.

I like your car. And the grabber blue is ok but I am not feeling those white mirrors. To each his own.

Nice photos and nice cars!

Someone educate me on the 13/14s... the red pony is obviously a brembo package/track pack due to the wheels, right? what's the black pony and its wheels? Just regular?
the black one is identical to my car, non track pack car, with optional 19inch wheels that have the machined lip, both wheels 19s, yet the brembo brakes only fit on the brembo wheels

Big Worm hood stripe. Buddy helped me this morning. Of course a few brews helped us concentrate.

Looking good! How do you feel about the quality of the vinyl? I have a Bigworm stripe as well. I would just like your opinion on it. Thanks

Thanks!

It is the first time I tried Big Worm. The minute I took it out of the tube I knew it there was there was quality there.

The install came out perfect. Not one bubble or issue. I do have Expel on the hood about a third or the way up and out it right over it. No issues.

E9X series BMW M3

Yep it is so. I will still probably be creeping around in here. Who knows I might end up buying another 5.0 to strip down and build a track car. Retirement is hanging over my head and the guy I'm selling it to is a Mustang fanatic and German. Even though the new ones are coming out here right now on the German market he still would rather have my car because of the options and he knows I have taken care of her dispite pounding on her every chance I get on the autobaun and tracks. He wants to go fast and she will stay in the largest officially recognized car club in Germany that isn't just a German brand club. We have a chapter in SoCal, NC, and soon to be SC when I get there.

I ran my car through a bug and dust storm to and from last nite's cruise at the Chatterbox. At least that's what it looks like. It was sooooo shiny when I left to go there.

Headed back up to that area today for a BBQ and a Nils Lofgren concert tonite, so there's no sense detailing it again this morning....same thing is gonna happen.

This week it'll get a bath and I hope to finally use my new DA buffer.

Interesting. So you put the vinyl stripe OVER the xpel? So where it transitions from xpel to paint, you simply covered that with the strip? Any concerns over that thing lifting or dirt getting on where the ridge/space between xpel and paint lie?

Yeah the stripe is simply put on top and it transitions from paint to expel. I was a bit concerned about the transition not sticking well but once the stripe was set and I put it in the sun for a bit the little gap that was there got sucked in tight. The way I look at it is the expel install was a lot of money. The stripe I bought was about $50 and if I get tired of it or it lifts a bit no biggie. In a perfect world where rock chips never happened I'd be happier with the stripe and no expel.

Agree. Although, the Xpel is really great for bird poop and bugs (they don't stain Xpel like they do paint. And if it does, then at least it's not your paint).

Just be careful if you DO decide to lift the stripe off... you can inadvertently lift the Xpel off the paint (or loosen it - eitherway = bad). That would be bad if your $50 stripe undermined your $1500 Xpel job.

Absolutely. If the stripe ever gets replaced it'll be slow going to remove it.

I guess thinking about it if I spent the extra to get the whole hood done in Expel that would make it almost as good as directly applied to the paint. The whole hood was expensive though.

That looks really nice! Just a little bit bigger than stock.

I drove it again.
Decided to start calling it Therapy On Wheels.

Also, installed the 1/4" Bogart aluminum spacers onto the front, to bring the wheels out a bit, to give a bit of breathing room on the inside, but mostly for looks since the top of the tires was in a lot. Not a huge change, but I'm all about subtle, and as a bonus, the car corners better with these things on
