OTHER: daily driver that does everything I need in a daily driver and does it with performance and style, and (amazingly enough) decent fuel economy too

EDIT: forgot to mention the most important thing -- FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH factor, makes me feel like a kid again!

There have been cars with performance that I thought still sucked.

There were cars that looked good but their performance was subpar.

And then there were cars that looked good that performed well that I still didn't like (2010 Camaro).

But this Mustang hits big in all three areas: Drivetrain/performance, exterior styling, and interior qualit/style/content. And I guess in price as well, since I bought one, but the cost still hurt. A lot.

But let's face it, price is a big factor too. For instance I love the M3 but can't swing the new car price. I also really love a Ferrari, but that's out of my ballpark.

One other parameter: practicality! I had been hankering for a C6 but realized the practicality of the back seats when my girls got back there in a car in the showroom. And the fuel mileage of the 2011 was another big factor. Insurance only went up $10/month as compared to my 5-yr-old Accord V6. The trunk is huge for the type of car.

So to sum up here are what I think the major parameters ought to be:
1) Exterior looks/styling
2) Powertrain/chassis
3) Interior styling/quality/features
4) Price
5) Practicality

I think the 2011 GT gets high marks in EVERY one of these categories, and THAT is what I think makes it so special.

I needed to get rid of my 03 gt, it just was getting to the point where daily driving it was tiresome. I knew I had to get something badass to replace it because I loved the car. I thought about an 03/04 cobra but was so sick of seeing the same interior for the past 10 years.

i know what you mean, that's why i replaced my 1992 GT 5.0 .. which i still need to sell >_< but i absolutely love it. Its just not a comfortable car to be driving as much as i do. Plus with its MAC exhaust i cant hear my freakin music either lol

I drive mine every day as well. It's great for putting around and WOT runs to merge onto the empty Interstate at 4:30 in the morning.

Bert sums me up pretty good ... that and I've had V6 M/T Mustangs as Year-Round Daily Drivers for the past 16 years and it was time to replace my '04.

I am a die hard Ford & Mustang nut but I seriously considered a V6 Camaro or V6 Genesis Coupe before the 2011 V6 Mustang specs came out last October. Once these specs were out, I never gave the other two a 2nd look as the V6 Mustang overall just blows them both away.

I bought the Mustang for 1 thing, performance. I was getting out my 328 lease, and looking to buy or lease something new. The 5.0 with all the imporvments, for me, made the best choice. Yes, im really liking the looks of the 2011 Stang. However, it was the numbers i was looking at first. Ronn

I got mine for the Performance factor. Had a 2002 F150 Harley Edition in the past. I missed having a Roots style blower. Had a Vortech on my 06 Mustang and did not like it

Could not beat the performance for the price. Before the 2011 mustang v6 was announced, I was set on getting the v6 genesis. Once the mustang came out... the rest was history.

As for the camaro.... i just think it is ugly.

Performance and Styling, even with the 2010 V6 it still has a lot to offer.
I have no problem keeping up with the Audi TT's or Camaro's on our Local Mountain roads, and it is still stock.
As for Styling, feels kind of good when when they are taking your cars picture at the Gas station come up and say Badass car, and then get into their NSX

wanted a fun car that I did not have to work on all the time. So I sold my '73 Corvette and got the '10 GB GT.

I personally bought for both. The combination of Performance and Style are amazing. Seeing as it is my DD, i needed something that can drive fast but be comfortable and have a nice interior Plus I've been a Die Hard Ford Fan since I was a little kid so i had to keep it going.

I'm on my 3rd Ford and 2nd Mustang so far.
