What appearance mods would you do with $1000??

Hey, guys. I have been putting together lists of appearance mods for a while now trying to determine the best list of appearance items to give me the most bang for my buck. I already have a GT500 rear valance, shorty antenna, and some hood pins, but nothing installed yet. So, for $1000, what would you suggest I add to my 2010 GT to make it stand out from the crowd? Graphics? Wheels? Body kit?Combination of a few items? Shoot me your ideas. Thanks peeps!

I'm ordering my 2011 GT/CS front end conversion next week .... which will be much less than $1K .... the extra $$$ would cover the OEM pedestal Spoiler as well if you don't already have one ...

Don't Forget Black Decklid Panel ... and did you buy the matching mud flaps for the GT500 rear valance?

TINT .... you got your windows tinted yet.

This is basically my list of what I plan on doing ....

i prefer the sleeper look
i'd skip the hoodpins, tint the windows, 4 inch tipped axle-back of your choice and put a set of beefy wheels/tires of your choice in sizes 285 r 255 f

I do have the matching mud flaps for the GT500 rear. My windows are already tinted as well. Forgot to mention that. I like the "look at me" look as well as the sleeper look which is why I have made so many lists of things to add, but can't decide so I thought I would get everyone else's opinion.

Why is everyone against hoodpins? LOL. I'm getting hood pins but real ones, not the stick on type.

The only reason I got the hood pins was because I was originally going to do a Boss tribute type deal. If I end up going a route where they don't look good, I obviously won't put them on.

The ones I have are the stick on type. I don't want to do something that I can't undo later on of I change my mind. I am definitely not against the hood pins as long as it looks good with the rest of the car.

CDC chin spoiler, your rear valance, widen the wheels. Call it a day.

I do like my wheels, but would possibly want some 20" chrome wheels. How much would it cost to have all 4 wheels widened? That is really the only thing I don't like about them.

My take on hoodpins is simple: unless you're building a car that you can pull the hood off of frequently and easily, they're useless. Most of the general public know that on a modern street car, hood pins are an appearance part. They know the hood latch is sturdy enough to hold the hood in place for daily driving, so why put some tack on junk on the car? While you're at it, go to Pep Boys and pick up some stick on fender vents or stick on exhaust cutouts on the rear quarters. Same mentality...

Now, if you pulled up with a huge cam and a 4" cowl hood on street slicks, then it might be a different story.

Stripes, rear spoilers and front spoilers are useless as well ... but they look good! So nobody should have a rear spoiler on their car unless they plan on averaging 150+ MPH on their commute to work? And nobody needs stripes right?

Everyone has different tastes .... Personally I think the factory Side Scoops and 1/4 Windows louvers are ugly has hell ... but lots of folks like them ...

Rent a hot chick to ride shotgun. Of course, if you go that route, don't do the window tint.

no hood pins IMO. They just do not look right with this new body style...

I would go for some tint and lowering springs. The springs will make the car look good and handle better. I would also get the hid kit. Maybe even powder coating the stock rims.

Stock is best minus suspension mods for performance which have the side effect of lowering the car.
