Weird a/c fax speed display in center stack

They other night, I changed the air flow from defrost to floor and hit the button several times quickly. The, on the center stack radio display (above the compass), a fan image appeared. It looked like the display that, as you turn up the fan speed, more blades were added to the fan. Is this something that can be turned on/off? I don't know what I did to make it appear, but as soon as I pushed the button again to change the airflow from floor to center, the fan image disappeared.
Has anyone else experienced this?

No, just regular instrumentation....It showed up right above the compass....you can see there's a lot of unused space there....
