A few weeks back, we took a trip to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY with the 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords Magazine crew to give them a taste of our Procharged 2011 V6 – currently holding the record for the fastest 2011 V6 Mustang in the world. Steve Turner, chief editor at 5.0, wanted to get some seat time to see exactly what the car could do! It was definitely an honor, and he had no problem strapping in and putting his foot to the floor!

The car ran beautifully, and you’ll have to keep reading the magazine for the full details. However, I will say that we were able to get the car ready for the 11.73 pass less than an hour after a near meltdown when the electric fan broke from road debris! After some quick wrenching by Mike Wilson, Dave Kaeck and Chris Rose in the pits at the track, we were able to get the car track-ready again.

After 5.0 editor Steve Turner had a chance to put the car through its paces, we laid down a blistering 11.73 second pass at 116 mph!

So, what’s next for this V-sick? Do we hear 10’s?

 

I would love to see that V6 roaming the streets putting fear into 5.0s and SSs and GT500s

 

That's my favorite part about this car!
You have NO idea how fun it is to pull up next to a stock GT500 on the highway and blow it's doors off in a V6, until you actually do it!

 

It would be fun to take that car onto the speed pass show and tell them it's a 6 and hopefully not have to tell them all the upgrades.

 

Also, I like all the dips that make posts "why don't you just buy a 8"...lol...umm...because having a sleeper car is always fun too. There's an element of satisfaction when somebody expects one thing out of your car and gets something else instead.

Yea, we "surprised" a BMW M5 on the highway(of course it was closed off for safety;-) the other day.

As we slowed down and he passed us his jaw-dropped and he mouthed "That's a V6!?"



Nothing more fun than giving people more than they are expecting!

What car would you guys race if your V6 had this much power ?

 

It is very nice to see these new 3.7 s be pushed to its limits and reach these results, but as great as it is; what would be even greater is finally knowing what is under that hood. When are we going to get the scoop??? STOP TEASING US ALREADY!!!

 

Whoa!! All I can say is Thank God I have a Blower now....may have to
change to a Smaller pulley though, to stay a second ahead...lol...

 

It's already known what is under the hood.
