The purpose of the thread was to warn '12 buyers that ordered the sensors that the GT500 rear diffuser won't work with the sensors. Not what you "feel about the sensors". Personally, I don't give a f**k, to be honest. I can live with them, so I ordered them.
PS. I understand we're all particular about our cars. There's nothing wrong with "not liking something" but after the first 5 pre-'12 owners give their opinions it's not really adding to the thread. Because we'll never know how many would have taken them if they were offered in their model years.

I'm glad they opted to move them in the plastic. It does a better job of hiding them. I don't recall seeing the GT500 with the option for the sensors, but I need to revisit the order guide to confirm that.
Matt, I take it you're not going to chance it swapping diffusers?
I have an '11, am I allowed in here?
EDIT - you already mentioned that, and I failed to read it. D'oh!

2) I still may take the chance, I'll probably decide once it gets here; I'll have to take measurements off the stock diffuser for reference. By the pictures the sensors aren't recessed so that makes it simpler. I ~should~ just need the mount rings then be able to transfer the sensors. I'll have to look at the Edge/MkX/MkT/Flex sensors to see how they detach and if you can without busting them (the benefit of working in the plant).
3) I'm not keeping anyone from posting. I'm just like "OK, you don't like them, give it a rest already" lol. I like the hood scoop and side scoops but hate the louvers and HATE HATE the rear blackout panel. We all like what we like. The sensors are a functional part, I'm glad that they're in the diffuser and not the bumper itself like a lot of other Fords, even though it makes then GT500 a more difficult option.
Fact is, out of 5 people that I personally know ordering '12s, including myself, 3 out of us are ordering the sensors. Those 2 other people are happy because it allows them to get the GT Appearance Pack when they also wanted the backup camera.

Well I'm not big on some of this gadgetry, but my Dad was blind in one eye and didn't see my bike as he was backing the car into the garage. My bad for leaving it there when he was due home. I caught hell. So I can relate to your reasoning.

Needs to be more Astony
I wasn't commenting on your personal preference, just the first thought that came to my head when seeing those. Sharing my opinion, glad to hear yours.
I have to sell those things to people everyday even though I wouldn't ever get it on my own car.

You may not have any choice soon. The NHTSA is looking to mandate backup cameras in all new cars for MY2014. They just asked for additional time to finalize the rules but no change in the 2014 deadline. So the next-gen Mustang may have a backup camera whether we like it or not.

I have kids and am ordering both. I probably did not need both, but the cost was not much different.
As for swapping the diffuser, with as difficult as this is, I do not know it would be worth it for me right now. This info did help. I will just do other mods.
