I love the EP, just don't know if I can add the extra to the price tag.

EP has always been on my list but these videos make me overlook the cost. Well worth it for a gadget freak like me.

Interesting thing happened today. I ordered a TomTom with lifetime map updates and real time traffic for $191. I also got a solicitation letter from Lincoln, trying to sell me a map update for $199. The nav in the Lincoln, which makes you crazy trying to use it, made it easy for me to spring $200 for the TT instead of $2K for the EP.

It all depends on what we want. I wish I had this new electronics package.

Two days with the EP and I'm not sure how I could get by without it again. The shear synchronicity of it is amazing. Phone, music, nav, climate... all very closely integrated in one unit with a ton of customization.

Every time I saw a manufacturer try to sell nav for $2k I was like, "Eff that... no way I'm paying $2k for a freakin' map." The EP is so much more than just a map. I'm sold and very happy I got it. I had doubts before I got it but there is NO doubt now that it makes the car way more "livable."

The Lincoln Nav made you crazy trying to use it? It must be very different than the Mustang Nav then because it took me all of 10 minutes to figure out how to use it and I've used it 5-6 times flawlessly so far. In fact, just yesterday I got in the car with some people I work with, we brought up the restaurant menu from the POI for all the restuarants within a few miles radius, and decided on a restaurant right there...selected it, hit "set as dest"...and we were off to a restaurant we picked from a list right there in the car.

No offense, but if you can't figure out how to use a system as simple and intuitive as this, you probably don't really like tech gadgets in general. The EP isn't for people who hate tech...it's for those of us that LOVE tech.

All the anti-nav people here almost had me not buying it too. Finally I was like the hell with it...I'm going to buy it. I'm glad I did and didn't let all the negativity that so many have about it influence my decision. I really would not have known what I was missing by not getting it.

I like the nav screen but still not quite sold on it having enough more content over and above the standard SYNC to choke down the extra 2 G's.

Is pretty, I look forward to it. Nice to have a primer for it.

I find myself trying to justify the price constantly, but I know how capable it is and how much it is more than "just" a nav system.

I love mine. Also on the fordowners.com web site when available, you can download up-dates to your 'SYNC'. I did an up-date to my 'SYNC' a couple days ago. Some people are talking about 'SYNC' doesn't do certain things or support certain types of phones. I'm sure Ford will have up-dates to take care of these issues as time goes by. Being able to up-date the 'SYNC' is really pretty cool to me LOL!!!
