Video: What Makes Mustang Special Compared to Other Cars?
There are a lot of performance cars to choose from, but what makes Mustang special and why has it been produced for over 45 years when so many other similar cars are now extinct or suffering poor sales?
There are many reasons, but I want you to see a very well-done short video that, for me at least, explains some of the "magic" that Mustang has for many folks. Add to this that Mustang nearly always has offered excellent value AND performance, you have a combination that is virtually unique in the car business.
Also, there is an interesting article out (about 2 weeks ago or so) about the poor current sales volumes of sports cars like the 370Z, the MX-5/Miata, Corvette, RX-8, and others. Yet, the article goes on to contrast that with robust sales of Mustang, Camaro, and, to a lesser degree, Challenger. Mustang has always had good sales ...some years outstanding, others, so-so, but always good sales compared to most other sports/performance cars.
I'm almost 50 and this video speaks to me. What do you think?

The Father's Day video is pretty good. The Good, The Bad and the Mustang is also pretty decent. Many films are foreign though. Kind of odd for an American classic.

In 69, a Buick looked like a Buick, a Jag like a Jag, and a Mustang like a Mustang.
Now, a Buick looks like a Jag, but a Mustang still looks like a Mustang.
Good point! The '87-'93 Mustangs almost got replaced by a front wheel drive MazdaStang later called the Probe. Thank God Ford didn't go through with that idea ...
