Larger discs are always the best bang for the buck for improved brake torque. So everyone needs a big brake kit!

Why?

More leverage from a larger diameter/radius.
More mass for improved thermal capacity.
Lower rotor operating temps and improved cooling.
Longer wear.
No change to piston area thus no pedal modulation change- a bit less pedal effort required.

Will this shift some brake bias to the larger disc? Yup. Is that bad? Depends on how much and other variables however a modest change up front won't have huge detrimental effects. And it's where most cars need it the most? What do you do to counter that? Higher Cf rear pads or a larger rear rotor also.

That seems really expensive for just pads and rotors.

That's all I wanted to know.
Again, I have no idea what's good or bad or worthwhile.
All I know is, I'm going to upgrade to a better fluid, stainless steel brake lines, and maybe Hawk pads.
The rotors are optional and further down the road.

Check Rehagen Racing and Roush. They both sell takeoff 13.2" GT rotors and the 4-piston Brembos, usually less than the other vendor prices. I'd still do the 13.2" GT rotors, if only just for looks. They fill the wheels enough to where I don't really mind them.
