Used 2012 BOSS 302 or new GT w/Track Package and Recaros?

So I had a 2014 on order with Track Package and Recaros in grabber blue but that order was canceled because (I'm told) grabber blue has been canceled.
That puts me back to square one and am now asking myself the question... should I look for a used 2012 BOSS 302 or go forward with the 2014 w/track package in a different color.
So just how MUCH better is the BOSS 302 than the 2014 GT w/track pack considering that package borrows a lot of components from the BOSS? Is it worth 5k more? Would love to hear everyones thoughts.

If the 5k doesn't really matter, boss for sure.

If u want nav reverse camera and a little more comfort go gt and order it with those options. If not get the boss. Do you plan on tracking the car a bunch?

I may well track it every so often and the creature comforts like Nav, reverse camera, etc. aren't that important. Having a new car is nice I can get the new GT with track pack and recaros for 32k-ish and a 2012 for about 37k or so... sure the BOSS LOOKS cooler but I guess the overall question is if the extra 5k or so is something I'd notice on the occasional track day (or on the two lane twisty)

If you're paying 32K for a 300A with Recaro/Track you're overpaying by a few thousand.

Why not just save the money and make one that is already 90% of the Boss into something that is 150% of a Boss and for less money?

I'd get the GT. with less than that 5k difference you can make it handle better and go faster than the boss and have money left over for appearance mods. Plus I'm not a fan of how the 2012 boss looks or it's lack of HIDs and sync etc.

The boss does handle noticeably better, but it's nothing some konis and springs can't fix in the GT, even boss guys upgrade to the koni yellows. other than the handling and quad exhaust sound the boss feels the same as a GT to me.

Wow, I was using X-plan and surprised to hear that there would be that much room for negotiation beyond the X-plan price. Good to know...

I would buy the boss. There is a lot about it that makes it special. If I could have afforded it, that's what I would be driving.

Buy a GT, get forged internals, Boss heads and cams, and better suspension. If I could do it over again that is what I would do, and still save money.

A hard decision. Ultimately I'd take the GT, the Boss's cache is nice but I need the comforts...

Drive the two cars and then decide. I bet I know which one you would pick!

So responses almost evenly split so far. And some great points. I've definitely learned I need to negotiate more either way LOL

Think about this. 2012 Boss new 41500 used 37k.
Brand New 2014 gt New 37k, drive it off the lot worth about 33k.
The boss will hold its value longer than the GT.

I'm biased I own the Boss with no regrets

The BOSS and the GT (Even with the track pack) are only "distant cousins." The BOSS engine is substantially more robust then the stock GT engine. The BOSS adjustable suspension is very well engineered. If your objective is a car for the track, then the BOSS is the clear choice. If your object is to look fast on the way to the convience store, then save your money and get the GT.

I don't own a Boss and even I'd say get the Boss.

I'd go with the boss. Like Jza said it will hold it's value better. And imo it's cooler.
