Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus

This stuff is amazing!

Im sure plenty of you guys must know how aggrivating it is. To have a car barely 3 years old and see the black trim/rubber pieces starting to fade. Id spend 4 hours on a sunday busting my tail to make her shine, only to be staring at ugly looking "graying" trim.

Up until recently I have been using the item show below, which worked good. However it was only temporary and everytime it rained I would look streaky where it had washed off.

Meguiars Ultimate Black

So I came upon the Ultima trim guard watching youtube videos one day. And was convinced enough to try it. Well after being the guinea pig, I can say this stuff works!

Applied it to my tires, rubber around the windows, all lower trim pieces (I have 2011) I couldnt be happier. It has also rained twice since I put it on and no streaking. It has a nice deep color, dry to touch and it shines... depending on how many coats you apply.

So I just wanted to spread the word, let anyone know of a great product that will make your car look showroom new again.

As promised pics show casing the results, this is about 2 coats in all areas. Each layer adds a bit more shine 1 coat being matte, 4 being pretty glossy.

FWIW I've used that but got better and longer results with Stoner Trim Shine. I'm not sure why they put shine in the name because it doesn't appear to add shine but rather restore the same shine the trim had originally. In other words, if you put it on something that was originally shiny it makes it shiny again but if you put it on something that was not so shiny originally, that's what you get afterwards. I was a little concerned that I could only get it in aerosol form but it's completely colorless and doesn't seem to have an effect on the paint/sealer/polish any over-spray gets on. I still spray a rag instead except for large areas.

Never used back to black, but looking it up, it seems its very much like the stuff I had been using. Its more of a temporary fix in the sense u need to reapply just about every time you wash it.

With the ultima, to my understanding you can go 6 months or more between touch ups. But I will have to report back on that when the time comes.

That Back to Black is more like the heavy silicone that's bought to treat tires. I used it a few times on my 2005 F150's black trim; the cowl pieces on the lower windshield are known to turn grey. The stuff works, but when the truck was washed, or it rained, the black pieces that were treated would show signs of streaking. I gave it to my neighbor to use (I did not like his barking dog at 10:00 PM). I think he got the hint.

I have tried the back to black and liked it. I reapply every couple of months. Never used it on my tires though.

I use chemical guys VRP, I think it is the best product that can be used on all vinyl, rubber and plastic, used on all black parts and as a tire dressing, tires still look nice and glossy after 1month of dry and wet weather driving.

This is comparable; beutiful dog, but the neighbors ignore it and leave it outside unattended for what seems to be days. I've reported them to the humane society and animal control, but nothing gets done.

If she looks like that, she is a beauty. Woof Woof!

Probably barks a lot cause she's lonely and needs to be with the pack! How sad.
